Inspiration For The Week

Caterpillars, moths, butterflies, a certain roach, and all creatures great and small,

Thus far, this has been a tough month for me.  Last week, I went to the dentist and had a bad reaction to the Novocain.  It’s the first time I’ve had such a reaction.   Along with breaking out in a red rash, I had stomach pains and dizziness.  This is happening while my last blood test results are that I’m anemic, and because of a combination of other problems, my doctor wants other tests.

I feel lousy. It’s not getting through one day at a time, but one hour at a time.  What I would love spending my time doing is blogging, cleaning out my flower beds, getting the guy over to clean the furnace and check the central air before I need to turn it on – stuff like that.   But, I’m sleeping – A LOT!   I’m awake for an hour, sleep for 4 hours, wake up, fight going back to sleep to doze off again and it repeats itself. I see my doctor next week.

As always, I hold on to faith, hope and love.   Forgive me for not being as active is usual.

I came upon the following quote and hope that it lifts those who can use a lift.

  1. Our body’s heal when we sleep. Take the time to allow yourself to heal. Did the dentist say it was odd to have a reaction to novocaine after having had it before without reaction? Or have you had it before? Were you able to take care of the tooth?

The anemia, are you vegan? I wonder what’s going on with that.

I’m sorry you don’t feel well. You deserve all the good things life offers including the very best of health. I am writing on my calendar that you have this appointment next week. While I want you to feel and be better, hopefully, the appt won’t be like taking the car to the mechanic… where the issue is never present while the professional is ‘taking a look’

I love you, Xena! I think we all do.

    • Good morning, Mindyme!
Thanks so much for your kind words. I love you too — all of you.

The dental assistant did a deep cleaning. The other side was done last month. There was no reaction. I did take a Naproxine before going. Other than that, it was nothing out of the ordinary for me.

About 90 percent of my meals are vegetables. I do eat meat once in awhile to keep up my protein and iron. Anemia is something I’ve lived with off and on from childhood. There are other things too, and I won’t name what the doctor suspects because I don’t want to “claim it,” but if the diagnosis comes out positive, I’ll follow the doctor’s instructions and treatment plan.

      • My lil sis just had a diagnosis of Grave’s Disease. It sounds much worse than it is. She’s treating this now. The Naproxine must have had something to do with the reaction you had. Those deep cleanings can be painful.

  2. Hello Xena! You might want to hit me over the head for this, but hopefully you’ll receive it as a blessing instead: God’s word is truth (John 17:17), and by the wounds of Christ our Lord you HAVE BEEN healed (1 Peter 2:24), spirit, soul, AND body. Sleep is a natural function God has given us; know and believe the truth, and speak it forth (aloud) into the heavenly realms! Please see https://thelordiswithus.com/2015/09/08/it-is-finished-now-know-believe-and-receive-the-grace/ for more divine encouragement. Love you! 😊

  3. I’m so sorry you are going through all this. But be good to yourself. You wouldn’t be sleeping if you didn’t need it so be good to yourself. I’ll keep you in my thoughts. You’ve always been there for me, I’ll always be here for you.

        • Mothman and Yahtzee,
Your words are an inspiration to me. My gratefulness cannot be expressed in words.

Actually, I’ve felt lately that I’ve let several people down by not being available to communicate with them, and the reason I’ve been unavailable is because of feeling lousy. Me thinks the days of multi-tasking and being johnnie-on-the-spot are slowing down. 🙂
