The Ferguson court clerk who was ultimately fired for the racist emails she sent to her coworkers has been hired by another St. Louis County municipal court, a few communities away from Ferguson, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Mary Ann Twitty’s emails, which the Department of Justice uncovered during its civil rights investigation following the police killing of unarmed teen Michael Brown, found that she circulated a photograph of Ronald Reagan feeding a baby chimpanzee with the caption, “Rare photo of Ronald Reagan babysitting Barack Obama in early 1962.”
Though Twitty sent that email, she has denied she is racist.
Twitty did not receive a severance package when she was fired from Ferguson, according to the Post-Dispatch. She is reportedly working as court clerk in Vinita Park, with a population of 1,880 people, three days a week, according to the newspaper.

I wish I could say I was surprised but sadly I’m not, smh.

I’m surprised since the court she was hired in is for a very small town. I wouldn’t think they had any job openings unless an employee died.

She’s a moron and there’s no cure for being a moron….

Oh Juan, if we could only cure that problem with a pill, or a wave of a magic wand.

No way should a court clerk who has been fired for sending racist emails favors for friends or be allowed to ever work again as a court clerk.
(Now I am wondering what happened to the two Ferguson policemen who were fired for their racist emails. I hope they have not found jobs in other police departments.)

Yahtzee, racists who want to, and can work should be employed — just not in positions that require impartiality. Maybe they can clerk in one of those stores that sell Nazi paraphernalia. 🙂

I hear too many stories about fired cops getting rehired. However, it seems that when they get fired more than once then departments begin to consider them a liability. I would think that this court clerk would want to use her second chance wisely. She’s lucky to have it even if supported by other racists.

They look out for each other, racists do. I hope someone is monitoring what she does while at work, representing their county.

All of those municipalities are intertwined. it’s not unheard of for a clerk to work several smaller municipal courts, same for the judges and prosecutors.

Hey Rhett! Thanks for your comment. I think that St. Louis County is a world to itself.

Now if I did something like that, I’d be fired and not rehired anywhere else, but go figure.
