What a nightmare. For the families of those killed as well as for the family of the shooter.

News just reported killer had stabled to death 3 roommates. How is that even physically possible?

He also had Asperger’s and was under the care of a psychologist for some time and I found one report where one of then also contacted police. Asperger’s isn’t known for having violent tendencies but this is the second case of one going on a mass killing spree with the Sandy Hook shooter being the first.
You have at least one mental health worker and the parents all going to the police and nothing was done. The cops talk to a person and if they don’t make a threat to themselves or others they normally don’t do anything because it doesn’t fall into the needed categories so unless the person confesses his desires to kill others or themselves their hands are tied. His mental health issues didn’t get him put on a list to prevent him from buying a gun because he never had been institutionalized or declared mentally incompetent by a judge. But it is painfully obvious that more needs to be done to address mental issues and gun ownership.

Follow the trail of the drugs used to treat the condition….

“follow the trail of the drugs”…..You have a point there crazy. We have a boy in a scout troop who has this condition. The boys all shunned him and thought he was just a general “pain in the ass”. We sat the boys down and explained his condition to them and once they knew he didn’t see things the same way as they did and understood his condition they accepted him and learned how to deal with his view on things. Like a patrol leader could get away with hollering at someone when they didn’t what they should have done but to do that with him would send him into withdraw. He had to be handled in a different way to get the same results and they quickly learned this.
But I do wonder what some of these drugs do to a developing mind over time and whether or not they helped create these tragic situations.
