Jonathan Manalo, Zimmerman Witness, Writes Book
Hat tip to BigBoi.
Jonathan Manalo, the man who took the pictures of the back of George Zimmerman’s head, Trayvon’s body, and Zimmerman’s tactical flashlight, interviewed with Joy-Ann Reid, The Grio.com’s managing editor at MSNBC studios in New York.
Manalo has written a book. The 13 page book Titled, “With a Flashlight and a Cell Phone…MY TRUTH,” is available on Kindle through Amazon for $9.99.
For the first time, Manalo tells of a situation that happened in November 2011 where George Zimmerman pulled a gun on a UPS delivery man. Manalo also stated that the Retreat at Twin Lakes was not a high crime area, and that justice was not served. He believes Zimmerman should have been found guilty. Very revealing is that Manalo also said during the interview, that Zimmerman lied during his re-enactment when saying he asked him to help restrain Trayvon and that he allegedly spread –out Trayvon’s arms.
Thanks to 3Chicspolitico for the videos.

@Yahtzee. Yes, which is probably why he took the photo of Zimmerman’s tactical flashlight. Manalo probably suspects that something was up with that tactical flashlight. Who fights with a tactical flashlight in their hands unless they’re using it?

I so agree with you, Xena.
I had always wondered if he had any LE training to know how important it was to take pictures right away before anything changed and to make a record of Trayvon’s body as he found it.

I think you are right about the flashlight. Manalo who supposedly had police training suspected that something was up with the tactical flashlight.Sometimes the smallest things are the most significant. The name of the flashlight is either blurred in most pictures or not shown in others. The name is not mentioned in the discovery as well. I suspect this is not the ordinary tactical flashlight but a stun gun flashlight used by police. Zimmerman wanted to be a cop, it makes since he would carry or hold a flashlight like the police. I read that GZ stated it did not work, was it ever tested? Why carry it then? I don’t buy that at all.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4ZBTD7nxER8ZG9meDlLSnRKTUk/edit?usp=sharing
I feel that he also aimed the flashlight and pointed the gun like police do at the same time, maybe blinding TM.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4ZBTD7nxER8bTJZR2h0ZXB2dzA/edit?usp=sharing
I feel the prosecution/defense made little fuss about the flashlight significance, and that is what they wanted to do. Know one would question it being just a tactical flashlight. Osterman trained George how to shoot and everything, he would definitely make sure he had a working (LED) flashlight or the most effective equipment to disable a “suspect.”
Zimmerman could have tased TM on the shoulder in the front where a scar was found, on the chest were two of the marks did not line up with the gun shot, as well on the back of TM’s hand.
It’s just a theory. But GZ could have also tased the back of his own head.

Zimmerman’s tactical flashlight is the type where a gun clips to the top. My son was issued those type by the military. They don’t tase, but they can be used like a Night Stick.
When discovery revealed the small laceration on the ring-finger of Trayvon’s left hand, I thought it might have been a defensive wound caused by raising his hand to ward off a hit from that flashlight. The laceration on palm side — not knuckle side.
At trial, Bernie did ask a witness if that flashlight could be used as a weapon. The witness answered in the affirmative. I do not now remember who the witness was.
What opens questions about the flashlight is that not once in any of his statements did Zimmerman say where, why or how he dropped it. If we believe Zimmerman, he looked in his pockets for his cell phone while holding on to that flashlight, and also carried it with him as he stumbled 40 feet towards, then past Trayvon before he fell to the ground. And still, the flashlight ended up closer to where Trayvon was living, than the “T.”
Thanks for your comment and the links.

I was thinking the same thing plus Mercury and Jupiter were both in Cancer during the trial which explains the fact that the jury was all female and B37’s biogoted opinions carried the day.
It’s funny that O’Mara wanted to postpone the trial until this month but Mercury has been retrograde since late last month and won’t go direct until this Sunday and has been conjunct Saturn.
I wonder how Piglet’s progressed Sun in Scorpio would have fared being so close to Saturn in Scorpio.

Yahtzee, I was hoping that the trial and or the deliberations had lasted longer because Mercury went direct a few days after the verdict.
What I found most troubling was the fact that the news was that the black pastors had been told to ask their congregations to remain peaceful.
That made me believe that the trail was rigged. How did they know that the jury was going to reach a decision so soon—they assumed that it would be either Monday or Tuesday after the end of the trial.

What effect would Mercury going “direct” have?
LikeLike
When Mercury is retrograde (appears to be going backwards) our mental processes are confused and foggy. Mercury also rules anything associated with communication ( telephones, internet, faxes, etc.).
Usually any major action performed during a Mercury retrograde has to be redone because it isn’t correct or there was some type of miscommunication.
That’s why most advise that you don’t take any major actions–signing contracts, initiating any major work projects-during Mercury retrogrades.
I have Virgo on the ascendant of my natal chart. Mercury is the ruler of Virgo and since Mercury has been retrograde l have felt as if I have been walking through molasses for the past three weeks.
I have a report that I have completed and is due by next Friday, but I will wait and send it Tuesday after I review it for the fourth time.
If the jury had continued to deliberate through the Mercury retrograde and until Mercury had gone direct maybe (because most of trial testimony took place during the retrograde) the jury could have seen through O’Mara’s lies and manipulations along with B37’s assistance-and would have had a clearer understanding of the evidence and the law governing this trial.
Mercury going direct means clear thought and being able to confer your ideas well and good internet service. LOL
I wonder if O’Mara has Mercury retrograde in his natal chart because his closing statements seemed to have been effective.

@BigBoi. That is why O’Mara made sure he had Juror B37 on the panel and gave her instructions on what she was to advise other jurors. Did you by chance see the post on 3Chics?
I wrote that on July 26, 2013 as a theory supported by voir dires and Juror B 37’s now former literary agent’s statement. Fast forward to September 10, 2013 when Maddy appeared on MSNBC after Shellie called the police on Zimmerman. She told Rev. Sharpton about the other women on the jury who were more educated and knew attorneys. Maddy supported my theory.
It would not have mattered if prosecutors had Zimmerman on video saying it wasn’t self-defense. O’Mara had Juror B37 to make sure that any videos and/or recordings of Zimmerman would not be considered during deliberations.

That would have been dynamite!
I always wondered too, why Manalo was not asked why he gave the photo of Zimmerman’s head to ABC as an “exclusive” but did not directly provide it to the defense nor prosecution. Now to be fair, I can understand why the State did not question the chain of command because they wanted the photo of Trayvon’s body with his hands underneath him, and Manalo was the only person who had taken a photo
Another question not asked was of Manalo was if he saw the keychain flashlight. He testified at trial that Zimmerman dropped his cell phone to the ground when the officer arrived. That keychain flashlight could have also been in Zimmerman’s hands and dropped at that time. In none of his statements did Zimmerman say when he dropped either flashlight.
By the State not questioning Manalo about it, the defense argued that Zimmerman dropped it at the “T” when he was (purportedly) punched in the nose. The statements of attorneys are not testimony — they are not evidence. Yet, Juror B37 said on AC360 that she believed the altercation started at the “T” because that is where the keychain flashlight was found.

@Rachael. Manalo said in his book that he only learned about it several weeks before trial. It was a co-worker who told him. It would have been hear-say if coming from Manalo. The State would have needed to reach, subpoena, and depose that UPS employee.
I’m not clear on it yet — the State may or may not have known about that UPS employee. If they did, his testimony would have been beneficial during the State’s rebuttal case — which they did not put on.

Thank you for transcribing part 1, that link wouldn’t load. I am so glad this came out before DOJ closes their case as I suspect the UPS worker was of the AA persuasion. Xena, you are right this would be considered hearsay so JM would be stopped from saying it, still maybe the state would have been less inclined to throw the case if they fully realized tubby is a nut case.
Tubby lied about JM at very first interview w/ Det. Singletary ” so is your wife a basket case…what did she think when you didn’t come home.”
Tubby:” oh this nice eye witness called my wife who called my friend, Mark, who was THERE and they were here in 5 minutes”.
I was really intrigued by JM’s statement that BDLR was so focused on the self defense. Why would the state be focused on the defense’s story? And STORY it was as Trayvon had no blood from tubby on him and no DNA from tubby. He may have said something but it was never a fight. Just a crazed thug looking to be a hero with a bad case of roid rage and it just almost worked. Except for a white law student , Kevin Cunningham’ starting a petition on change.org which garnered 2.5 million signatures in one month ( a record). When Trayvon’s parents asked him to turn it over, he did. And when verdict came back not guilty, the group dream defenders organized to roll back SYG in Florida.
It plays out like a Shakespearean tragedy and the results may cause a change in this law. Trayvon’s murder stands for something wonderful.
I’m still pissed though.;-(

shannoninmiami, Thanks for your reply, I never believed the concocted story about the divorce, some thing just did not feel right at the time, and now that I have seen no date stamped filing (should have been stamped immediately upon filing), it explains why George Zimmerman was not served papers in person, nor has her attorney served by publication. There is a reason for this, that I have not yet been able to put my finger on! Just another thing for you to ponder, on the day of the altercation between the pair (including her father), both attorneys showed up in record time, strange that they would take time from their busy schedules to do that for the Zimmerman’s unless the situation was planned? Too many pieces of this puzzle do not fit in the picture… Why? or better yet, why not???

Shellie’s various summer interviews have basically laid to rest any speculation that she was with George the night he killed Trayvon.
1. For a year we had heard that she had been at her father’s for dinner that night.
2. Then we learned that she had had an argument with George and left him Saturday to go to her father’s = Sat. and Sun at her father’s.
3. Then we finally learned that there might be another woman (which would cause us to speculate that maybe that is what the February 25 argument was about.)
And, yet we heard all those “lovey-dovey” jail phone calls of hers to George and her looking forward to their wonderful future in “heaven” (with all that cash!)

If my memory is correct, I think that it has been pointed out in the past that a divorce does not end the husband/wife privilege for anything that occurred during the marriage.. I never dwelled on that part simply because IMO both of the Zimmerman’s were involved/connected in the planning and execution of this crime.. Could it have been Shellie that herded Trayvon back away from the safety of his home and into range of George the murderer? So much happened that night that defies logic that we may never know the real truth of what took place out of sight… I suspect most of the truth will end shortly when one of George Zimmerman’s former supporters takes him down… I predict that he will die before the DOJ can charge him officially… Too many of his supporters have too much to lose if he opens his mouth…

Neither he nor his wife called 911. Was this the reason (as an excuse for not calling 911) that he told Joy Reid that he had said to his wife, “Let them figure it out. They are grown men.”
How did Jon know they were grown men if he was sitting on the floor and not looking out the window?

That was a Thursday, a dated (stamped) copy should have been available the next day (if not that day). About the divorce, if George Zimmerman feared for his life, and he should, he would throw a little sand in your eyes to temporarily blind you as to his location. A staged divorce action (taking away from people looking for a couple and instead looking for an individual) then making sure he was seen without his wife in various places nearby in Florida would set the stage for a move (with or with/out his wife) to the safety of the travel trlr in Maryland perhaps? We think that Shelly was ordered to remain in Florida, but if I recall correctly, Kelly Sims did file a request asking for permission for her to leave Florida… My point being that people will be looking for George Zimmerman, and not looking for George Zimmerman and wife, because they are divorcing… Out of sight and out of mind, when was the last you heard of either one of them???

I believe that the only reason that MOM showed up was to get in some more on air time with all the news agencies that had shown up. Another thing to remember is that all the news agencies got there well before he ever did.

So let’s look at Manalo’s exact words to Joy Reid:
I was surprised that Manalo had time to be alone with Trayvon’s body at all.
Here is what we know as far as “first responders” —
Ofc.Ricardo Ayala was the next to arrive after Ofc. Timothy Smith. In his report Ofc. Ayala wrote that he was dispatched to RaTL at 7:17 pm. and that
Ofc. makes no note as to where Ofc. T. Smith was standing.

Yahtzee, Don’t forget this one little piece of information, Tim Smith arrived on the scene of the reported shooting, and per his own words, did not draw his gun until after he had begun to talk to Zimmerman at which time he drew his gun and placed the cuffs on Zimmerman. Tim Smith and his wife are two others that the DOJ need to take a real close look at due to their possible link to Zimmerman and their actions on the night of the shooting… The question is still unanswered as to who Zimmerman called after murdering Trayvon. Was one of those calls to Tim Smith? We can go over these things till the cows come home and still probably have no effect of the end result in this crime. IMO this case is now in the hands of a much harder hitting force than Zimmerman has ever had the opportunity to deal with, and that is “Karma”… Or as has been said many times before, what goes around, comes around (to bite you in the butt!). Zimmerman is living on borrowed time, tick, tick, tick….

@Jose. Welcome to Blackbutterfly7!!!
After Zimmerman’s arrest, many people did join forces. Of the blogs that concentrated on the case, each blog administrator seem to concentrate on certain areas. For instance, Whonoze and his team concentrated on the clubhouse videos and the photos taken of Zimmerman.
Trent Sawyer, on his stateoftheinternet Youtube channel, was the first to catch that the clock was off on the clubhouse videos. (That was before it was revealed in discovery material.) He too produced some videos based on what he saw in the clubhouse videos. Unfortunately, before the end of Zimmerman’s trial, Trent made those videos private.
There are also several people on Youtube who brought forth background noises in Zimmerman’s NEN call and Jenna’s 911 call.
The subject of the M&I Bank video was discussed on blogs since the State released it. People discussed whether the last person seen on the video at 6:38 p.m. is Mark Osterman. Some think not. Some think that it is. It’s my opinion that it is Mark.
When the feds charge Zimmerman, they are not going to re-litigate the State’s case. It’s going to be a whole different ballgame.
Thanks for the info. I do not have a Facebook account but am sure that others who participate here do.
