Two important but very strange developments occurred today regarding President Trump.
Two members of the House of Representatives’ far-right Freedom Caucus (a.k.a. Tea Party members) and nine other members introduced articles of impeachment against U.S. Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein (who oversees the Mueller investigation of Russian meddling in the 2016 election), but did so immediately before the House adjourned for its summer recess. Apparently, either the vote threshold to impeach Mr. Rosenstein do not yet exist or this is simply a political move to appease Trump supporters ahead of the midterm elections. The theme or concentration seems to be that Russia helped to have Donald Trump elected as president. What people are not addressing is WHY. It is my impression and opinion that the reason for Russia interference in the election is what Trump wants to keep hidden.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. President Donald Trump attacked the integrity of the FBI and Justice Department on Friday in an extraordinary showdown over the White House’s expected approval for the release of a secret Republican memo alleging FBI bias against him in its Russia probe.
Trump, who has long been angered over the probe, accused the country’s top law enforcement officers – some of whom he appointed himself – of politicizing investigations in favor of Democrats and against his fellow Republicans.
Trump has repeatedly complained about his treatment by federal investigators who are probing possible collusion between his campaign and Russia to sway the 2016 presidential election, and any actions to impede the investigation.
