The Giggle of the Week

My Good Time Stories

Everyone needs a giggle and a smile…at least once a week…so, here is a good giggle for you!

A blind man and his guide dog enter a bar and find their way to a bar stool.

After ordering a drink, and sitting there for a while, the blind guy yells to the bartender “Hey, you wanna hear a blonde joke ?”

The bar immediately becomes absolutely quiet.

In a husky, deep voice, the woman next to him says, “Before you tell that joke, you should know something. The bartender is blonde, the bouncer is blonde and I’m a 6’tall, 200 lb. blonde with a black belt in karate. What’s more, the woman sitting next to me is blonde and she’s a weight lifter. The lady to your right is a blonde, and she’s a pro wrestler. Think about it seriously, Mister.

You still…

A Lesson From Nature

Very uplifting!

My Good Time Stories

Throughout our lives, we all have opportunities to learn life lessons from many, many things. Everyone of us experience hardships and difficult times but the key is what we learn and how we handle these situations. A foolish person will dwell on the negative experience, may become depressed and suffer bouts of anxiety, sickness or other kinds of physical distress. A wise individual will take the awful circumstance, learn from it, and become a better person because of it.

Today’s little “story” demonstrates a wonderful lesson that we can all learn from some animals that you may never have thought of before. I hope that you can use this little “nugget of truth” the next time you go through a difficult time of your life (or if you are struggling through a tough time in your life right now).

One of Life’s Most Embarassing Moments

Funny, funny, funny.

My Good Time Stories

Sometimes, tings in life aren’t what they seem…..as told by this person for instance.

I was in a public toilet and had just sat down, when I heard a voice from the next cubicle, he said, “Hi!, how are you?

Embarrassed, I said, “I am doing just fine”.

The voice said “So, what are you up to?

I said, “Just doing the same as you, sitting here!”.

He said,”Can I come over?”.

Annoyed, I said, “Rather busy right now”.

The voice said, “Listen, I will have to call you back later, there’s an idiot in the stall next to me answering all my questions.”

Butterfly Light Award

Blackbutterfly7 has been honored with the Butterfly Light Award. In passing on this nomination, Horty wrote:

“Xena loves butterflies. So, who else would be a great recipient of this beautiful creation? She’s a wonderful human being who champions causes that are fought in the legal arena. She works continuously and keeps us informed of events that may otherwise be forgotten. She literally “fights” for the underdog and those affected by miscarriages of justice in spite of the many attacks that she finds herself under.

My wish is to “see” her smile when she reads this post. “

I did smile, and I also shed tears. This is a very humbling honor. The entire concept of caterpillars to butterflies is what inspired the title of this blog. It blesses my heart to see others inspired by that concept. Read the rest of this entry

What I learned from the Easter Bunny…

This made my heart smile.

My Good Time Stories

Throughout my life, I have been blessed to listen to many inspiring, motivational, and heartwarming speakers. I have met a lot of famous people and rubbed elbows with the “rich and famous.” But of all the people that I have ever met and listened to, none of them were more inspirational  than one of the most well known entities of all-time…that’s right…the Easter Bunny,

It is my hope that these great words of wisdom will touch your heart as much as they do mine 🙂

What I learned from the Easter Bunny……

Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.

Everyone needs a friend who is all ears.

There’s no such thing as too much candy.

All work and no play can make you a basket case.

A cute tail attracts a lot of attention.

Everyone is entitled to a bad…

8054-2There are various thoughts about angels in theology and myths. Personally, I believe that angels are those who are of the same spirit/motivation, who minister positive messages or positive actions to the lives of others. “Positive” can be defined as whatever is necessary and needed for any individual at any given time that gives or adds to their life, joy, peace.

Imagine my surprise when Horty passed the Angel Award to Blackbutterfly7!!  It is humbling to be honored by one’s peers.

The Boy With A Golden Heart

It makes my heart cry for all the children who wonder what a parent was like, and all the parents who wonder what their child would grow up to be, if not for the taking of their lives.

My Good Time Stories

What would you buy if you found a random $20 bill in a parking lot? One 8-year-old from Ohio bought a lifetime of inspiration for hundreds of thousands of people and one soldier in particular. You have to see what he does. This boy was raised the right way! God bless him and our military and their families.
By the way…you may want to have a box of tissues nearby.
