  2. It hurts we can not even curb our bloodlust for guns, our fears that makes crave them, to save our children. Why out of all the civilised countries do we have such fear that we cling to the pretend safety of a firearm. We have bought into the myths so deeply we are willing to let our children die, and with them maybe our future. Sad hugs

    • Scottie,
Your words express what my heart feels. Thanks. This is so overwhelming. It brings back thoughts of Columbine in 1999. It was reported earlier in the news that this is the 13th school shooting this year. It is only February. (((((Sad hugs)))))

It is not good to have a dysfunctional and greedy Congress which doesn’t know how to help and protect us.

I am scared for our country, for parents and for children. I am scared.

Why why why are assault weapons allowed in the hands of civilians in our country?

    • Yahtzee,
Since I respect the constitution and expect for everyone in America to be given its rights and privileges, that includes the second amendment. However, I do believe it has not been brought up to current times.

The video below is from 2013, but I think it hits the proverbial nail on the head.

I need to remind myself and others that 170 members of the House of Representatives held a “House Sit-in” in 2016 seeking action on gun control:
“Democrats end House sit-in protest over gun control”

NOW we need a MAJORITY of members of the House of Representatives to use their moral conscience and their courage to take action on gun control in order to save lives.
