“Bannon said in a statement to the Wall Street Journal: “Susan Rice ope-rationalized the NSC during the last administration. I was put on to ensure that it was de-operationalized. General H.R. McMaster has returned the NSC to its proper function.”

  1. Dear Xena,

This was welcome news.It looks like Gen. H.R.McMaster and Jared Kushner got their way in moving Bannon out of the NSC.

Gen McMaster still wants Gen. Flynn’s side kick Deputy national security adviser K.T. McFarland gone. That only makes sense. The job she is in requires a strong background in national security but she is one of the loons who had a Fox TV show and she’s a conspiracy nut as well. She is the one who ran a Republican primary campaign for Hillary Clinton’s Senate seat in 2006 and claimed that the incumbent was so frightened of her, that for reasons that are not obvious she had helicopters flying over McFarland’s house and kept her under surveillance.

It is a crazy WH but it looks like grownups are invading this space.

    Hugs, Gronda

    • Gronda,
      There’s talk that Trump’s son-in-law doesn’t like Bannon.

      • Dear Xena,

That is an understatement. Jared Kushner is young and deficient in the experience category but he is sane and he has DT’s best interests at heart. And it looks like DT trusts him.

I believe in the end thought that Jared’s influence will alienate Trump from his cabinet.

Trump has assigned Jared so many high-level tasks that he is the de facto president and since he is family I am sure Jared is one of the last persons that Trumps listens to (the other being Ivanka).

          • Dear Roderick,

If DT wants to have a prayer of becoming a better president, it would be better if he relied on Jared Kushner instead of Steve Bannon, Stephan Miller, Julie Hahn, Ms. K. T. McFarland, Sebastian Gorka, and the attorney Michael D. Cohen.

            Ciao, Gronda

        • Gronda,
The entire tribe is confusing to me. I thought we had the Revolutionary War to prevent families from ruling the kingdom, and cronyism, nepotism in powerful positions.

          • Dear Xena,

Our forefathers must be turning over in their graves.

It is fortunate for us that these thinkers tried to anticipate such events to where they created obstacles or the separation of powers over the executive, judicial and legislative governing bodies.

Unfortunately some plans have backfired. It was Alexander Hamilton who created the electoral college as a preventative measure towards having a DT in the WH.

            Oh well!!!

            Hugs, Gronda

            • Gronda,
The electoral college seemed to work well when the bulk of America’s voting population voted according to one or two issues. America has come far from that. There is also confusion among voters who think that where candidates for federal office have their interest in issues that are state or local law. For example, Trump talked about crime in Chicago, but that issue is under the authority and jurisdiction of Chicago city officials. That leads to the question, does the federal government want to disrespect local and state law and have one federal law, or does it really respect state rights?

  2. Dear Xena,

Thanks a million for all of your support and for this reblog.

    Hugs, Gronda

  3. Finally, maybe some sanity is being restored to the WH
