Third Presidential Debate

In case you missed it, or want to see it again,(full or partial), or simply want to discuss it, the below video is the third and final presidential debate.

In my opinion, Hillary has handled Trump better in debates than any of the GOP contenders during the primary.

Donald Trump helped many decide to vote for Hillary, especially disappointed Bernie supporters.   He said that voting for Hillary is getting Obama for another 4 years.   I think many voters would be happy with that.

  1. His support is waning. She’s clearly the better choice to lead our country and to represent America and our values.

    • Thanks Jim. I’m still watching debate analysis on MSNBC, but my eyelids are getting heavy so I’ll probably catch up after the sun rises. 🙂

Chris Wallace brought up something I did not know about.

From the NPR fact check link that that Jim posted above (I will indent the fact check part) :

      “DONALD TRUMP
“They don’t want you to help them anymore. I’d like to mention one thing. Trump Foundation, small foundation, people contribute I contribute the money goes one hundred percent one hundred percent goes to different charities including a lot of military. I don’t get anything I don’t buy boats. I don’t buy planes whatever happens.”

Donald Trump last contributed to his own foundation in 2008. Since then, all the money has been contributed by others.

      “CHRIS WALLACE
“Wasn’t some of the money used to settle your lawsuits, sir?”

      “DONALD TRUMP
“No, we put up American flag and that’s it. They put up the American flag. We fought for the right in Palm Beach to put up the American flag.”

      “CHRIS WALLACE
“There was a penalty that was imposed by Palm Beach County and the money came from your foundation.”

      “DONALD TRUMP
“And the money went to Fisher House where they build houses the money that you’re talking about went to Fisher House with a build houses for veterans and disabled veterans.”

“As the Washington Post documented, https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/trump-used-258000-from-his-charity-to-settle-legal-problems/2016/09/20/adc88f9c-7d11-11e6-ac8e-cf8e0dd91dc7_story.html Trump used his foundation on multiple occasions to pay legal bills incurred by Trump’s corporate properties.”

    • Good to see you Jacqueline. Trump is vile, disrespectful, and a classic bully. The characteristics that drew people to him are the same that are causing people to withdraw their support. But, there are still bullies who like bullies. The ballots will make the decision.

    • Hi Kev. That’s when votes for people of non-major parties come into play. Traditionally, Republicans vote for other parties when they don’t like the Republican candidate. There’s been reports that Utah, which usually votes Republican, might actually carry an independent candidate. Gary Johnson of the Libertarian Party is estimated to have about 9 percent of the vote, and that is from those who would generally vote Republican. Jill Stein of the Green Party is estimated to have about 2 percent of the vote, and that is from those who would generally vote Democrat.

It’s one interesting election year, that’s for sure.

        • Kev,
LOL! Someway, the United States divided between two major political parties. With the Kennedy-Nixon debate, once television got involved, it also made the rules. Unless other parties acquire a certain percentage of the vote during primaries, they are not included in television debates.

That is probably why those in other countries do not know about the other political parties.
