Song Tributes to Pulse

Since that tragic event, some have recorded new songs in honor of the victims, and in honor of the human race.   It was difficult choosing which ones to present here, but I decided on two.   Hope you enjoy them as much as I do.   

Then there’s this;

“An impatient Florida driver crashed into two Orlando-area deputies Saturday when she tried to drive through the funeral procession for one of the Pulse nightclub shooting victims, officials said.

The two Osceola County deputies — who were on motorcycles while protecting the somber morning procession — were rushed to the hospital after the crash. One is in serious but stable condition and the other is stable, Florida Highway Patrol spokeswoman Kim Montes told the Daily News.”

We keep the injured deputies in our positive thoughts and prayers.

    Xena, like you, I am also still feeling overwhelming sadness over this. I pray that more and more people will reach out and embrace the LGBT community. We need to be one human family that cares for and uplifts each other.

    Alton Eugene in “Heaven’s Song” poignantly points the way as he concludes his song:

    And we will rise up from the grief of our sorrows.
    And we will fly into the grace of tomorrow…

    So how can we not acknowledge,
    How can we not embrace?
    The ones in front of us
    Are worth much more than hate.

    How can we just ignore them?
    How can we isolate the ones that need our love?
    They are our family.

      We are, and that is what people who hate miss. When any part of the family hurts, it hurts the entire family, including themselves. That’s because hate has an appetite for hate. The killer hated, and brought out hate in others, including that church that impugns the character of Christ, and also Donald Trump.
