Special Edition …. “#OrlandoStrong …. Victims’ Names …. “!!
My heart is heavy. It cries out for the families and friends. Here’ hoping that the wounded fully recover. It must be very hard on the owner of the Pulse to decide what to do with the nightclub and I hope the owner is not placed in financial ruin.

This hits close to home…Antonio Brown was from my hometown and in the military. The owner hasn’t said much yet but speculation is that due to the damage done to the building that it will be torn down.
They interviewed the hospital staff and two of the recovering victims today. One victim held up until the end and she then started crying. It was heart breaking to watch. The hospital staff was amazing and they talked about trying to keep up with the wounded. Some didn’t have the benefit of a paramedic to give them a quick assessment. That night they didn’t wait on ambulances and were transporting victims in the beds of pick up trucks….the hospital was less than a mile down the road.

Towerflower,
Thanks for the comment. I saw two survivors on CNN. One wrote a poem. Anderson Cooper also spoke about medical personnel and how important it was to get people treated within the first hour.
Something I had forgotten about is that the slaughter went on for hours. A person on CNN said that according to the FBI, terrorist activity lasts about 5 minutes. The killer tried killing as many as possible and with so many trapped in the restrooms, it was like shooting fish in a barrel.
Those were brave people to get the wounded out and carry them to the hospital. The last report is that 6 remain in intensive care.

Have you heard the reports that Omar Marteen was gay himself? We’ve seen self hating gays (Jeffrey Dahmer, John Wayne Gacy, etc) do this . May the families of the victims get the help they need.

Yes, there are folks coming forward to talk with FBI about him trying to hook up on line on a gay web site. He was raised as a Muslim. To say that homosexuality is not well accepted in the Muslim family and community is an understatement. If he came out, he would be excommunicated and ostracized. In some countries, he would be killed. I suspect that it would literally be more acceptable for a young man to be a mass murderer on behalf of ISIS than to admit to being gay. This dilemma could cause a lot of internal conflict and rage..

Hey Chuquest! Yes, and I suspected that when I first heard about the attack. Self-hating people have the tendency to take their hate out on those who are free — those who can do what they can’t. I read on Twitter that Mateen was married, but there was no link to where that information is found. If his religion had anything to do with his actions, it’s because Islam condemns gays and had nothing to do with Mateen rebelling against the U.S. government or another religion. In my opinion, it was personal for him.
