    I watched the Billy Jack movies as a pre- teen and wanted to be like Billy Jack in the 2nd movie. In that one he’s on a spiritual quest to learn how to ‘turn the other cheek’.

      I am a Tom Laughlin fan. Thanks so much for this clip from one of his Billy Jack movies. Tom spent lots of time studying Jung, and he had a website where he posted what he saw as characteristics of some people. mainly politicians. I loved reading his site. He died in Dec. 2013. I miss him.

        I remember when he passed. He was very upset with Angela Corey over her handling of the murder trial of Fogen for having murdered Trayvon.

    I watch people like Donald Trump who cannot let go of even the slightest negative comment. I have often thought that when he was humiliated by Barack Obama at a White House dinner in 2011, that he would figure out a way to get even. He can’t apologize or take responsibility for anything. Holding on to every grievance for years can be very self destructive and toxic. This reminds me of my ex husband and a lot of other people that I know.This keeps folks from having peace in their life and from truly enjoying it..

    Hi Xena. Just “met” you via a comment on Roach51’s blog.
    I love your quote! It’s very dear to me. You asked our comments about it. May I share my faith here with you and your readers? If so, thank you, and I pray for ears to hear and hearts to receive a good word…

    Jesus spoke much about unforgiveness; I’ll only mention two instances.

    First, He found it so important that He addressed it IN and immediately after teaching His disciples to pray (what we refer to as “the Lord’s Prayer”): “Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors… For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.” (Matthew 6:12,14-15). [meaning your fellowship with God suffers, not your salvation].

    The second I’ll mention is Jesus’ strongest word about unforgiveness, and that’s the parable of the unmerciful servant in Matthew ch 18. At the end of the parable, He explains that God the Father will turn a person who harbors resentment/unforgiveness “over to the jailers to be tortured…” (verses 34-35). That’s strong language!

    As a physician who walks closely with the Lord, I’ll say that MANY chronic diseases, both physical and mental, are spiritually rooted in resentment/unforgiveness. See if that doesn’t ring true with your spirit. Praise God for making a way for us: our natural selves can’t truly forgive others, but Christ in us does!! 😊 This is how we are healed by His wounds.

      Hey Deanna! Thanks so much for stopping by. Thanks also for being a physician and moreso, a believing physician. I have a friend who, somewhat like myself, takes the truth from whatever she finds it regardless of denomination or religion. She was reading a book by a Christian Scientist about physical ailments and spirituality. She shared some things with me that I keep in mind.

            I am humbled by this, Xena, and that is ALWAYS good (doctors have this proclivity to being prideful, and it’s the “old self” trying to get back in for a Christian).

Then, no worries, of course: as you seek Him, the Holy Spirit will lead you directly to those articles which will bless you in your exact circumstances now and always.
