Donald Trump – The Violent

Alert: Some might find the language in quotes offensive.

ap_donald-trump_ap-photo20At the University of Miami, the 4 GOP front-runners for the race to president debated. When asked about supporters acting violently at his rallies, Donald Trump responded that people were angry with the current administration, they are patriots, yada, yada, yada. So why is it that they are taking out their anger on other citizens, mostly people who do not look like them?

When I was in junior high, on the day that President Kennedy was assassinated, our social studies teacher wrote on the blackboard; “Ballots not bullets.”  A boy in class blurted out asking if President Kennedy was killed by ballots, apparently thinking that the gun was loaded with special bullets. It gave our teacher opportunity to teach how Americans speak at the ballot box. The lesson extended to explaining that although the United States is a republic, that its voting structure is democratic.   That lesson came back to my memory as I read how Trump supporters act violently.

I did a little research and this is what I found. The Huffington Post reports;

  1. At a rally in Iowa, Trump warned people, “There may be somebody with tomatoes in the audience. If you see somebody ready to throw a tomato, knock the crap out of them, would you? Seriously. Okay? Just knock the hell – I promise you, I will pay for the legal fees.”

The New York Times reports that

  1. On February 22nd, regarding a protester, Trump threatened to personally get in on the action saying, “I’d like to punch him in the face, I’ll tell ya.
  2. A protester was in the crowd holding a sign that read, “Veterans to Trump: End Hate Speech Against Muslims.” Trump responded by repeatedly saying, “Get him the hell out.”
  3. A Sikh protester was physically pushed out of a Trump rally in Iowa, while fans yelled, “Trump! Trump! Trump!” The protester described it as “a fascist rally in a school gym.

In addition to the above, Slate has published a list of 10 violent incidents at Trump’s rallies and events.

Oct. 14, 2015, in Richmond, Virginia. Individuals at a Trump rally shoved and took signs from a group of immigration activists. One spit in a protester’s face.

Oct. 23, 2015, in Miami. A man at a Trump rally knocked down and kicked a Latino protester.

Nov. 21, 2015, in Birmingham, Alabama. A black protester at a Trump rally was punched, kicked, and, according to the Washington Post, briefly choked.

rdsiqDec. 3, 2015, in New York City. A security guard took a sign from and struck an immigration activist during a protest after a Trump event.

Dec. 11, 2015, in New York City. Protesters “affiliated with various Arab-American and Muslim-American groups,” per the AP, were “forcibly ejected” from a fundraiser at which Trump was speaking.

Dec. 14, 2015, in Las Vegas. Individuals at a Trump rally yelled “Sieg Heil” and “light the motherfucker on fire” toward a black protester who was being physically removed by security staffers.

Feb. 29, 2016, in Radford, Virginia. A photographer was slammed to the ground by a Secret Service agent after cursing toward the agent during a dispute over where the photographer was allowed to work from during a Trump rally; the Secret Service says the incident is being investigated.

March 1, 2016, in Louisville, Kentucky. A black woman was surrounded and shoved by a number of individuals at a Trump rally.

March 8, 2016, in Jupiter, Florida. Politico reports that Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski “forcibly” grabbed a female reporter for the right-wing Breitbart news site, “nearly bringing her down to the ground,” when she attempted to ask a question after a Trump press conference.

March 9, 2016, in Fayetteville, North Carolina. A black protester being escorted out of a Trump rally was sucker-punched by a white bystander. The bystander, John McGraw, has been charged with assault.

When interviewed after assaulting the protester, John McGraw said that the next time he sees him, he might have to kill him.

Trump seems to take pride in promoting violence and the violence used at his events.  He disgusts me.

UNIFIER. Oh, I think I get it. He unifies people who believe that the use of physical violence controls others. They should give themselves a street gang name.

        • Roach, I’m not sure about Hillary, but I think that Sanders can beat Trump too. Trump said in last night’s debate that he supports Israel. If Sanders is nominated, maybe Trump won’t be as rude to Sanders, (who is Jewish), as he is bound to be if Hillary is nominated.

          • Sorry but Sanders is too old…..74. It’s time for him to sit down. Trump will be rude to anyone in his way and Hillary will be able to handle I’m. With Trump or Sanders, I can’t………….

Old?!? LOL! 74 isn’t old considering that Sanders has been in politics and was involved in the Civil Rights Movement. At times, it takes the experience of walking the walk before seeking the office of President. At one of the debates, he mentioned that Hillary ran against Obama, but he didn’t. I would like for a debate moderator or reporter to ask him that had Obama not ran for office in 2008, if he would have thrown his hat in the ring then.

Thinking a bit more about what you said about Bernie’s age. If nominated and elected, he might be a one-term president. That means if he’s nominated, his VP running mate should be an excellent one.

    • Shyloh!!! Oh no! I wonder if TKO complained about you “spamming”?

Not long ago, I spoke with a long-time blogger about tweeting links to his blog, and he says it works best to tweet it out in 2-3 hour increments. He experimented with it that way because many people do not stay on Twitter long, or only scroll through a page or two of what appears from those they follow.

I so appreciate your support but doggone sister, we can’t have you getting suspended from Twitter.

  6. To be honest. I did like Trump in the beginning. But this dude is showing his TRUE COLORS! I am so afraid of what is going to happen if he is elected. Talk about hell. We’ll all be living it here on this earth.

    • I liked him as an entertainer. When I was young, there was an entertainer named Pat Paulson who ran for president at each election. He was very funny, and I had placed Trump in that category not taking him seriously. However, he does want to entertain America — not lead her. In last night’s debate, he spoke about running this nation like he would a business with making “deals.” I’m afraid he will think that he’s head honcho to dictate rather than respect that we have a Congress that is suppose to represent the citizens of this nation, and a Supreme Court that interprets the constitution.

From Shaun King’s March 10, 2015 article about above incident:

On Wednesday night, East Carolina University student Adedayo Adeniyi decided that he was going to attend the Donald Trump rally in Fayetteville, N.C. — not as a protester or demonstrator, he came alone, but as a curious college student at a very strange and important time in the history of our nation.

“I was there just to watch and experience the surreal moment of someone like Trump running for president and speaking to thousands of people,” he told the Daily News.

Without saying a single word during the entire event, Adeniyi was randomly targeted and thrown out of the event by police as seen and heard on video he recorded.”

    • Mindyme,
I think hate is their religion. They appear to like Trump’s bias against Muslims, forgetting that Jesus healed the servant of the Roman centurion without any mention of what they believe religiously. It makes me very sad to see the “land of the free” represented by people who think they get to decide who is and isn’t free to exercise the same constitutional rights that they exercise.

The sad part about this is how this violence at Trump rallies or by Trump supporters doesn’t diminish his popularity. Even with a white female Breitbart reporter being assaulted by Trump goons ,doesn’t seen to matter. Breitbart and other sites still support him. Michelle Fields the Breitbart reporter that was assaulted by a trump goon should not only sue Trump, but Breitbart as well.

    • Chuquest,
It really surprised me to see some Breitbart supporters criticize Michelle Fields and outright call her a liar. They don’t want to change their support for Trump. Their bigotry is more important to them than, (as some of them say), waiting for all the facts before drawing a conclusion.
