    • Hey Bill! Survivor is the only television program that I set aside time to watch. I caught a program on Animal Planet about a vet, and managed to see it several times before I lost track for when it comes on.

  2. So much going on.. My heart is breaking for Jimmy Carter. The State Trooper and that monster that shot him. Why, why would he do that?

The shooting in San Jose, This: “”In communities of color, this is the concern, that the standard response is that ‘he made a furtive movement and went for something in the waist,'” she said. “We’ve heard it a million times. Now we hear it again in this one. I can tell you, I’m getting emails from people in San Jose saying ‘How are we going to trust the police department?’ You don’t build trust in this fashion.”

And this: “Michael Haddad, an Oakland civil rights lawyer who has represented families of police shooting victims, says deadly force is only allowed if police reasonably believe they are facing an immediate threat of death or serious injury.

“You can’t shoot someone in the back just because they’re running away and they used to be dangerous,” Haddad said. “They have to pose an immediate threat. You can’t just make up a lot of possibilities in your mind and shoot him to avoid what you’re afraid might happen.”

And this: “But Dudley, the former San Francisco police captain, said all the circumstances leading up to the deadly encounter must have convinced the officer that he had to shoot. “I know of no cop who would stone-cold shoot someone in the back without reasonable cause.”

    pfffttt.. as if.

  3. I am loving this, the changes in Ferguson, “The judge also said that defendants with an arrest warrant for a minor traffic violation will no longer face incarceration. Additionally, driver’s licenses that were suspended solely for failing to appear in court or failure to pay a fine will be reinstated. ”

This is how you do it!!

    • Shannon,
Sometimes all I can do is shake my head. People who truly want to help on issues, whether crime, race relations, police brutality, etc., will never accomplish anything positive by using hate as the foundation.
