I’ve never heard that song before. That’s an uplifting video.

Linda,
Hehehehe. That is true for Simon. I heard that American Idol has been cancelled. I’ve not watched it on a regular basis since about 2004. It seems like those who compete become more successful than the winners. Jennifer Hudson is one example.

Linda, thanks for enjoying the video. There comes a time when people who feel so passionately about justice need to refuel.

Slightly off topic–I no longer listen to the radio when I drive, since I’m not a multi-tasker; I have to focus 100% on where I’m going. Back in Virginia, however, my radio station was always set to either NPR or WMZQ (country). When my daughter was a teenager, she was driving somewhere and the boyfriend with her at the time complained, “Ew! What station are you listening to?” She retorted, “WMZQ. Deal with it!” Needless to say, she’s no doormat!

Hey Linda, whose your favorite country music artist?

Don’t have one anymore. Used to love Martina McBride, Tim McGraw, Reba McIntire, Dixie Chicks…. You name it. Favorites came and went with the mood (grin).

Darn Linda. I was hoping you would say one of the old-time favorites. LOL! I sing this one at karaoke.

OMG, Xena! I haven’t heard that one in years! I didn’t even start listening to Country until the mid-70s when Mr. Wonderful was in a C&W band on the weekends in Germany. (The rest of the time, he was in the Army). BTW, how much do you have to drink before you can belt out THAT ONE??!! LOL!

LOL@Linda. I drink 7-UP with a slice of lemon and an ice-water chaser. LOL! When I began public speaking and singing in church at the age of 2, it was before PA systems and microphones, so I was taught to project my voice. Even today, some of my friends tell me to lower my voice on the phone. 🙂

Xena and yahtzeebutterfy,
I am doing great. All my lab work is normal, and I am no longer anemic. I no longer am on weekly chemo infusions, instead I take four pills a day, and see the doctor once a month, and the kidney doc said he doesn’t need to see me for another 6 mos. Food is tasting better, which is good, cause I lost so much weight they told me to stop. LOL, first time I’ve been told that.

Xena, referring to your favorite cocktail of 7-UP with lemon, the first time we were in Germany, I didn’t drink at all (I was pregnant with my daughter and spent the first 5 months praying to the porcelain Goddess!) and the only decent sized non-alcoholic drink you could get was a Spezi, which is half Coke, half Orange Fanta. Today I duplicate that by putting a few drops of orange-flavored water enhancer into my Coke. It wasn’t until Italy that I learned to cut wine with sparkling mineral water. That came in handy at the military’s Hail and Farewell parties where practically everyone was drunk. It works best with white wine because you can get through the entire evening on a single glass of wine. No one can see the gradual change in coloration as you keep adding more and more water to your wine!
