If we still played 45’s on a record player, we would all be stuck on a scratch!

I think the answer is if you don’t want your city upset with riots, train your GD police officers to not kill suspects. To deliver them to the courts without their spines having been severed. How hard can that be?

Our Governor will sign for the removal of the Confederate (Rebel Banner) from the SC Statehouse grounds today at 4:00.
I look forward to this symbol of Oppression and Hate being lowered, and because of that, many hearts uplifted in it’s place.
(Just one small step in such a long road to be traveled)

Kindheart,
I am happy to hear that the SC government had a wake-up call. The blood of those 9 spirits that were taken from this life by Roof is like seed. This nation would not be having this conversation, nor these positive changes, had that not happened. Also, yesterday The Fifth Column reported on news that Stormfront, a website that promotes White Supremacy under an angry tone, has been contacted by the FBI.

Kindheart,
Got it! May you have a blessed and safe trip. As people of all races come together to see the taking down of that flag, may it send out the forces of love and compassion upon all of America.

One pen will go to each family that lost a loved one in the Mother Emanuel Massacre from signing this bill. I hope they find a small amount of peace in knowing: “Not only the people here, but the State Representatives, and most of the US grieve with them.”
God Bless You,
Rest in Peace Emanuel 9….You will NEVER be forgotten.

I will be there when this outrageous battle banner is taken down!
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America….
We are ALL EQUAL! Please Stop the Hate! I hope this is the first step.
Please.

ANNOUNCEMENT
I’m thinking about doing some reblogging this evening, and then putting up an “ANY TOPIC” discussion thread to run through the weekend. That is a change from “open discussion.” I think the “any topic” is more inviting.
What say thou? 🙂

Claire, I join with you in that pledge, as well as standing against religious, gender, and bigotry against gays. All men are created equal.
