Good afternoon folks!  Santiago here. This is an open discussion thread.  Please share whatever is on your mind, what you have experienced this week, or news stories you would like to discuss.

Here’s my thoughts of the week.  Officer Michael Brelo, who was 1 of 13 officers involved in a 137 shot ambush style murder, was acquitted on Saturday.

Brelo apparently is said to have been justified in jumping on the hood of a vehicle firing 49 rounds into the windshield killing both unarmed occupants, Timothy Russell and Malissa Williams.

49 shots! Let’s do some math.  That means that Brelo is responsible for 1/3 of the gun fire that rained down on two unarmed citizens. Their justification or reasoning for the acquittal is somewhat hard to understand.

They claim the car that Russell and Williams were in backfired leaving them to believe the two were armed and fired a shot.  The 2nd portion of the justification isn’t exactly that easy to explain.

The judge stated that he is not going to make an example out of Brelo simply because forensics could not determine what or whose shots exactly caused the death of Russell and Williams.

This is just beyond belief.  What this judge has confirmed is that officers need only come up with a good story to justify the murders they commit.

But what’s even more disturbing is this judge has basically said if you have enough of your fellow officers involved that you can make it so difficult for forensics to figure out whose shot caused the death that officers can simply act like Outlaws in the wild west and gun people down in the most gruesome ways imaginable.

We are talking about a police officer so in fear for his life that he got out of his patrol, car jumped on the hood and fired shot after shot after shot while changing a few clips through the process.

And yet what do we wake up to this weekend? Another acquittal and the DOJ shaking down FIFA instead of shaking down these criminals sworn to protect us.

This is not any Anti-Cop posting. The truth of the matter is their job is not to play judge jury and executioner. Their job is to catch people and bring them in so that they can be punished by a court of law.

On another subject, the video of the 8 month pregnant woman who was arrested has gone viral.
