Needless to say, I’m having another sleepless night. That was too funny!

Xena–there’s an article on AOL about Zimmerman’s latest brush with trouble. Needless to say, the Zimbots are all out in force. Obviously, none of them know what WE do, thanks to your blog.

Thanks, Xena. I finally slept for a few hours. Unfortunately, at my age, sleepless nights are the norm rather than the exception. Of course, it doesn’t help that my PC is right next to my bed!

So sweet! Don’t make me cry :- (

Finally had to stop reading the comments on that AOL article (there are over 1100 now) because they were pissing me off. I’ve already had both a stroke and a heart attack, so I don’t need to send my blood pressure into orbit! Some of the comments were funny–such as Apperson should be charged for being such a bad shot and should be forced to go to the gun range for target practice!

Most, though, were very pro Zimmerman, saying that the 6’2″ 180 lb (WTF??!!) Trayvon Martin deserved to die for bashing Zimmerman’s head into the sidewalk. Oh, and here’s a new one–when Trayvon was on the phone with Rachel Jeantel, supposedly he told her he was going to chase after Zimmerman and beat him up!

Having lived in both Manassas and Florida (Tampa), I took an intense interest in the case from the beginning and followed it religiously (yeah, I look like cottage cheese, so sue me!). It never ceases to amaze me how ignorant and hateful some people are, including my own parents I don’t have a formal education beyond High School, but I do read and study up on things that interest me. I guess I’d hoped that we, as a country, had advanced beyond where we are now, but President Obama’s two term win has definitely brought some of the crazies out of the woodwork!!! Sometimes it feels as if our country has taken two steps forward, three steps back. I know progress isn’t a straight line, but it does get depressing at times.

Well, Xena, thanks for letting me vent. I’ve been carrying that around for a long time!

I really do appreciate your blog. You do such an amazing job!

          • Linda, vent away!! Thanks for your kind words. I posted on Yahoo comments around April 2012 just after Zimmerman was arrested. I stopped reading and posting comments on Yahoo around May 2012. Through that short experience, I don’t read nor post comments to any online news source. They are too mean-spirited for my taste, and the moderators allow anything just to get the “hits” up so they can use them to impress potential advertisers. I don’t like the smell of skunks and refuse to get into peeing matches with them. It all ends up one huge stink. I don’t have health problems such as high blood pressure, but had I continued reading filth, I probably would.

P.S. If Trayvon HAD smashed Zimmerman’s head into the sidewalk, he would have been charged, postmortem, with spreading toxic waste!

Thanks, Xena. I had to finally stop posting my comments to AOL, as I was becoming just as snarky and disagreeable as they were. BTW, love your new post!

HA! That’s about 600 people with sock accounts. You know, when I was on Yahoo, a man there admitted to having 36 sock accounts.

Xena, I had to Google sock account! Very interesting. I still use AOL (Hey! I’m a luddite!), but will no longer post there, just read. I guess you CAN teach an old dog new tricks!

Evil begets evil as good begets good. Everything produces according to its own kind. There are evil humans who seek to provoke others into doing evil. That’s the thing with turning the other cheek. It’s not to be passive or afraid, but to not become the very thing that slapped you in the first place resulting in using the same in return. You are wise, dear friend.

          • Linda, you are safe here. Everyone is. Word Press calls blogs our “internet homes.” I manage this one like I do my home. I would not allow people into my own house to verbally abuse my family and guests, and I don’t allow it here — unless my family and guests want to have a go at them, that is. LOL. That happened a handful of times, and the trolls never responded to comments left for them.
