    • Thanks Yahtzee. I enjoy India Arie. She has made many positive songs and I don’t think she has gotten the recognition from the industry that she deserves.

  3. This came at a good time for me. Three days ago my neighbor across the street was stabbed to death by her husband. She was pregnant with twins. All three died. Our town is very small and bad meth users all around. The cops are worthless. The other town’s cops that are 8 miles away arrived first. HUH? our police station is only blocks away. The man was walking around the neighborhood for a long time. He could of stabbed others before the police arrived. I don’t get it. Now NO ONE IS TO TALK ABOUT THIS. But I am going to get to the bottom of it. I have lots of family that are in the US Mashals dept. And they are outraged over this. Outraged over all the killings of unarmed victims.

PS: Their two other children saw the whole thing. Awful! 6 and 8 years old.

Thanks for the video. There is hope. Just needed to vent I guess.

      • Thank you so much Yahtzeebutterfly. I just wanted to grab those kids and squeeze them, I think it shocked me more to see their faces, the tears and the screams because I can’t get it out of my head.

          Shyloh,

Your deep compassion and caring leads you to hold on to their tears and screams. I will say a prayer that you find relief, and that the love and comfort of the One of higher power calms you.

    • That’s totally F’ed UPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!! but I’ve heard cops will literally wait till trouble is over before showing up at scene. The old cops have got to be completely replaced with well trained, intelligent men & women. we need to universally revamp the police training programs.

      how scary.

      • I totally agree. Some how some way we must all pull together and file complaints etc. I am outraged. Most of the cops here are very young. And they just don’t seem to care. Well, I don’t get it.

    • Shyloh,
I feel your pain and concern. There is the loss of 3 lives, 2 still in the womb, and the mother, who leaves behind 2 other children who probably do not understand what has happened. Then there was the failure of the police to arrive and give a sense of security to the community. WOW! That is a huge burden to have on your shoulders.

If there is anything that we can do here, just say the word.

Thank you for planting this important seed today with your video, Xena.

I really do believe that when we send out seeds of love, hope, and encouragement, many of the seeds will thrive and lead all of us to a better place and better world.

    • Shannon, I hope that it was a good cry. Regarding when he was walking down the street — I think they were in Brazil. Or, had the song been different …..

It’s absurd that the family of #RekiaBoyd was given $4.5 million for her wrongful death but NOBODY’s held accountable

#RekiaBoyd’s killer was charged w/involuntary manslaughter, reckless discharge of a firearm & reckless conduct. (1 of 3 tweets)

#RekiaBoyd: Judge threw out case because he said all charges were related to reckless conduct BUT killer’s conduct was intentional (2 of 3)

#RekiaBoyd The judge said in his order: Court could not convict killer on a charge higher than what he was charged with.

#RekiaBoyd Directed Verdict: When a judge takes the decision away from the jury & decides himself that Prosecution didn’t prove their case.</em

#RekiaBoyd: I’ve seen Directed Verdicts b4 in “Cop as Defendant” cases…Prosecutors charge wrong or Judges interpret facts in D’s favor.

It would seem that we have reached the point in our society that the life of our neighbor is of little or no interest to us. If our society is to survive we must start looking out for each other regardless of race. Whether or not some people realize (or even accept) it, we are our brothers keeper, and we have failed to accept that responsibility…
