Now……………if I was that kitten I’d be calling 911…..
911 Operator “911 please state your emergency”
Kitty “Meow”
911 “She’s unresponsive ?”
Kitty “Meeeeow”
911 “….and you’re hungry?”
Kitty “Meow – Purrrrrr”
911 “And the litter box is full, but she’s just asleep”
Kitty “Puuuurrrrrrrrr”
911 “Okay, well send someone over to wake her up, have a nice day”

A very good friend has 3 elderly cats I have the privilege of sitting for every so often.. They are so much fun, like children, each with their own personalities.

So true Mindy. Just like children. They can all be raised in the same house, the same way, yet they all have such distinct personalities,

Oh My Goodness, this is so real!
I have three cats that demand certain behaviors of me.
1. They have a full bowl of food to get them through the night, BEFORE I retire.
2. Fresh bowls of water in the bedroom, bathroom, and by their food.
3. Clean litter boxes, or they will leave me a present in the shower to clean up the next morning.
4. Toys from their toy box are to covered in cat nip, and placed on the stairs, ready for them to play with when they desire in the middle of the night.
5. And most important………share my bed with LITTLE movement, as not to disturb THEIR sleep.
I have one that scrambles under the covers and sleeps by my side nightly. I have another that insists on sleeping on top of me. And yet another that sleeps on my pillow, with her paws tangled in my hair, purring on and off all night long……
***They have been known to let me know if I move too much during the night, LOL, and I have the scars to prove it.
They are my babies………so I tow the line. 🙂

Kindheart, I love hearing about your life with your cat dears! I just finished reading your account out loud to my husband, and he enjoyed your writing also. 🙂
Thanks for the smiles you gave us.

And they are all very true!
My neighbor came over yesterday and wanted to know what happened to my cheek? I laughed when I told her I was trying to untangle Indie’s paw from my hair, and I wound up with a war injury.
We both won. I got her paw untangled, and she settled right back down on the pillow, (after I returned from putting antiseptic on my cheek) and we both slept the rest of the night peacefully. 🙂

Kindheart,
I think a lullaby needs to be rewritten with your cats in mind:
Sleep my cats and peace attend thee
All through the night………

Back in the 80’s, my wife & I wound up with 3 cats. Anyway, when we had just the 1, a rare Sealpoint in these parts, he kept bugging us one cool March Sunday morning and we kept putting him on the floor…….being newlyweds and all.
About 10:00 my wife screams to me from the kitchen to get down here fast. A pipe that ran almost the length of the basement without a single hanger pulled out of the compression fitting in the kitchen sink, the water was flowing through the holes for the pipes and into the basement. By that time there was 2 1/2 feet of water and his litter box was floating and he was in dire need.
Sooooooo, being me, I turned my R/C boat on, put him on board and got the old pump out and spent the day drying things out
That was the last time I ignored him needless to say……..

I have fostered feral kittens. Occasionally a feral cat group will trap a pregnant feral or young kitten and I will get the babies at about 4 wks to begin to socialize them to humans. Real mama cat is fixed, has her ear tip clipped and released again.
They are so cute at that age, trying to act so bad ass with their little hisses. But after a few days I become mama and their fears go away. I give them up when they are at least 8 wks old and ready for a new forever home.
I’m convinced a cat will pick their forever family, our first cat cried out to us and would reach out to us from within its cage. She hasn’t stoopped talking to us yet, lol.

The Action starts when Ollie, a skateboard, takes his friend Didga, a CAT, for a ride around the beautiful beach town of Coolangatta, Australia. On the way Didga “shows off” by jumping on, off, up and even over obstacles. One of those obstacles happens to be a large Rottweiler dog.
