Sheets of Blood Streets of Pain

Great supportive detail. It’s time for all people to come together. There is saying that came after WWII about a man who did nothing as the Nazis arrested and killed because he did not fall into the category of those they came for. Eventually they came for him, and there was no one left to speak for him.

When evil gains momentum, everyone eventually becomes a victim. Before long, we may find the cops targeting those with auburn hair, or tattoos, or people who wear brown shoes. That is the true trickle down because the appetite of evil is never satisfied.

OpEdI have two sons and two grandsons; I am safe in knowing they will under all but the very worst circumstances be safe on the streets of most cities. Why and how do I know this? My sons and grandsons are White, they are Caucasian and they aren’t mentally ill, they are not in the targeted group commonly at risk when walking down the sidewalk in any city or town. For that matter, they are not at risk in their own homes except in the most extraordinary circumstances.

Other mothers, mothers of Black sons and Brown sons cannot say the same thing. Mothers of Black and Brown sons and even of Black and Brown daughters must caution their children to be wary on the streets of their neighborhoods. They must caution their children to be afraid of the police. They must be afraid each time their children go out to…

    Valentine Logar,

You have made a great contribution by providing the statistics that we need as we engage in this dire battle against injustice. I am going to bring the last 3 paragraphs of your outstanding article here so that we can read and reread it:

“Based on the information I found, there is a person of color, primarily a Black Man and primarily a young Black Man murdered in vigilante justice, usually by the police somewhere between every 24 to 28 hours in the United States. We do not hear about most of these killings. The murderers are rarely penalized for their actions. Since 9/11 there have been approximately five thousand (5,000) vigilante murders by on-duty police / security guard and stand your ground murders in the United States. More than 75% of these are against Black people, less than 10% of these are against White people and most White people killed by police are killed after police stand-offs in highly publicized cases.

“Something has to change. The motto of ‘Protect and Serve’ is no longer valid, especially not in predominantly Black and Hispanic neighborhoods of our cities and towns. The police are militarized and the “War on Drugs” has turned into something far more insidious and damaging to our nation and our people. We must stop turning away and pretending this isn’t genocide, it is. We must stop looking at other nations and speaking out against the genocide there until we begin to clean up what is broken here. This isn’t just bad behavior, it is murder and it is more than killing individuals, it is killing of entire communities and vital lifeblood within them.

“We must stop this. Those of us with the will, the heart and the soul to stand up must stand up and say enough. We must stop turning a blind eye to the terrible ugliness within this nation and our people. We must fight back and demand justice for all the dead children, they are our children and our future.”

I hope your blog article will inspire other blog administrators to write, write, WRITE for justice and equality and to shine the light on these killings.

If ever there was a time when all of us need to come together with ONE VOICE it is NOW!

  3. Thank you for the reblog. I am stunned by the level of violence and the disregard for human life shown by those sworn to ‘protect and serve’. This is no longer their mission and we can call this nothing less than genocide. We must stand up, we must demand justice.

    • Valentine,
Some White Supremacists have wanted a race war since Barack Obama was elected president. I don’t believe in violence, and hope that people do not become violent. The last thing that America needs is to have police in the streets harming, killing and arresting people who are angry over something that the police did. If that happens, we cannot say a word about what is happening in other countries without showing the world that we are hypocrites.

  7. Good morning butterflies, moths, and all creatures great and small. I’m having computer difficulties. Flash keeps crashing, and Adobe stops working. Maybe my computer is just tired. Hopefully I’ll be back running smooth after closing out everything and giving the computer a rest while I make coffee.

What the f, and then he kicked the door open trying to hit him with the door. Door flew back, hit his leg, brother. He done shot, he pulled his gun out, shot inside the car trying to hit him. He got out the car, brother. Doing on his knees (in this video this witness is demonstrating how Michael Brown had his hands up, surrendering), like “Brother, don’t shoot me. Brother, don’t shoot me” Boom….shot him dead in the head, brother. Then walked up to his body, shot him four more times. Looked at his eyes, paused for a minute, shot him four more times. Dead, brother….

  13. The group “Anonymous” has joined in the quest for justice for Michael Brown.

    Greetings world, we are Anonymous.

On August 9th in Ferguson, Missouri the 17 year old and unarmed Mike Brown was shot several times and killed by an officer of the Ferguson Police Department. His body was left to lie in a pool of blood in the sweltering heat for hours while 15 police departments militarized the area against protesters, sealed the roads leading to Ferguson in a vain attempt to prevent protesters from reaching the city. The police has clearly crossed a line in the sand.

For this reason Anonymous will not be satisfied this time, as we have in the past – with simply obtaining justice for this young man and his family. Anonymous demands that the Congressional Representatives and Senators from Missouri introduce legislation entitled “Mike Brown’s Law” that will set strict national standards for police conduct and misbehaviour in the USA.

To the good people of Ferguson, take heart – and take your streets. You are not alone, we will support you in every way possible. Occupy every square inch of your city. Demand justice, staying silent today could result in the death of your kid tomorrow.

To the Ferguson Police Department and any other jurisdictions who are deployed to the protests: we are watching you very closely. If you abuse, harass – or harm in any way the protesters in Ferguson we will take every web based asset of your departments and governments off line. That is not a threat, it is a promise. Attacking the protesters will result in the release of personal information on every single member of the Ferguson Police Department, as well as any other jurisdiction that participates in the abuse of this States own law. We will seize all your databases and E-Mail spools and dump them on the Internet. This is your first and last warning.

The time has come for more than simple justice for these atrocities. The time has come to draw a line in the sand. The time has come to bring those to justice, who served to protect us, not kill us.

Until justice prevails, hack and protest will replace it.

    Operation Ferguson engaged.

    We Are Anonymous.
    We Are Legion.
    We do Not Forgive.
    We do Not Forget.
    Ferguson, Expect us.

“Family of Missouri Teen Michael Brown Calls for Calm and Justice”

    http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/family-missouri-teen-michael-brown-calls-calm-justice-n178006

The family of an unarmed Missouri teen whose death at the hands of police called for calm Monday, saying their son wouldn’t have wanted the rioting and looting that followed — but they also called for justice, and their lawyer said the young man was “executed.”

“He wouldn’t have wanted none of that. We’re going to do it the right way. But we need justice for our son,” Michael Brown’s father, Michael Brown Sr., told reporters. Michael Brown, 18, was shot by police at noon Saturday in Ferguson, a predominantly black suburb of St. Louis.
