Taking a Break – June 26, 2014

Caterpillars, moths, butterflies and all creatures great and small,

Black butterflyI have had to make a hard decision.  It is generally understood that changes come with life.  Responsibilities and priorities can be added to and/or change daily.  With that said, I am scheduled for a medical procedure in July, and am not now feeling 100 percent. Along with my health, there is personal business that I must give attention to.

No — I have no plans to stop blogging.  Blackbutterfly7 isn’t going into blog limbo.  What I don’t want is for readers and participants to anticipate the frequency of new blog articles as in the past year.  After the second week of July, I’m hoping to return  stronger.

For now, what I plan to do is reblog from some of my, and your, favorite bloggers until I am feeling well enough to dig into the research that I like and use in writing for this blog.

In other words, I’ll still be around, but can’t promise how much time I’ll have for writing.  Feel free to continue posting comments.

Right now, you can find open discussion threads in the “Category” menu on the right-side border.  Before the end of today, I hope to get that category on the top menu so when you click it, the most recent open discussion will appear.

There are some hearings coming up in cases that we follow, and by reserving my energy, I hope to write posts for those hearings so we can stay up-to-date.

As always, keep holding on to and spreading hope, joy and love, which is our interest along with equality for all.  Peace begins with each individual, within each individual.  We cannot plant seeds that we do not, ourselves, produce.  Let this be our goal — to be what we want the world to become.

Thanks so much. Time has really flown this year. This is something that I’ve put off since the beginning of the year, and now I can barely believe that July starts next week.

I’ll take that healing energy! 🙂

  9. THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR THE WELL WISHES!!

I’m hanging in here — good hours, bad hours, but this too shall past.

I had to take a moment to report the following. Zimmerman is begging Judge Nelson to not dismiss his lawsuit against NBC. He wants to depose Rev. Sharpton and Angela Corey, and filed an affidavit accusing NBC of editing his 911 call in a way that “caused me to be identified as a racist stalker.”

Uh — I think, “Are you following him? “Yeah” followed by “f’ing coons” are his words, and no editing was required to form the opinion of listeners.

    • From the article:
In paperwork filed Friday, Beasley disclosed some of the people he intends to press for information or whose communication records he plans to seek.

Beasley needs to understand that this is a botanical issue, and the information he should be pressing for is

      1. How was the watering of the potted palm performed?
      2. What soil nurtured the potted palm?
      3. Was the potted palm kept in the shade for extended periods?
      4. Does the container of the potted palm have any defects?
      5. Does the potted palm have any parasites?

Know what? Her personal life is her personal life, and how she manages her blog is her business. Had she not allowed her blog to be used to defame and harass me, and had she not joined in with the cyber-extortionists’ agenda, I would not know about her. They have tried since Sept. 2012 to work their dirt. Blackbutterfly7 is still here. They forget that we are butterflies.

          • Yes, Xena, thank you for all your work and please accept my apology for once again,;-) stepping over a line. I think it must be my specialty It wasn’t meant to offend you, rather poking a bit at her reason for not blogging.

Yahtzee, I looked at your link to that plant. Have been trying to remove one and because of your link, I used extra caution. Thank you!!

I don’t know what I said giving you the impression that you crossed a line. No apology needed. Nothing you wrote offended me.

…rather poking a bit at her reason for not blogging.

            Did she ever “blog”? 🙂

      • 2dogsonly, I see you are expanding our botanical study to include “NETTLES.”

        http://www.wikihow.com/Identify-Nettles

Among important guidelines from this linked article are

        2. Stay away from the plant until you know what it is. Even at the slightest touch, nettles release formic acid and other chemicals from their hairs, causing a stinging sensation that can last for hours. It therefore is important for you to be able to recognize the plant before you come into contact with it. Nettles have no distinctive scent or attractive flowers, so they tend to blend into the rest of the nearby flora. But by knowing the basic characteristics of the plant, you’ll be able to avoid it and its painful sting.

        4. Wear heavy duty gloves when examining the plant so that you do not get stung.

    • The operative word for Beasley is “SCRAMBLE”

      Definitions:

      1. To make one’s way awkwardly up a steep slope; to grope one’s way
      2. To make (something) jumbled or muddled; to confuse
      3. tTo struggle eagerly or unceremoniously for possession of something

Additional definitions of “SCRAMBLE” as pertain to the client:
      1. The act of moving quickly to find something or somebody
      2. A disordered mass (mess?)
      3. Mix-up, confusion
      4. Hustle
      5. Hassle

  11. Hi Everyone! 🙂

I am grateful that Xena has brought us all together here in friendship and community. I love our community. I love watching friendships grow. I love all of your sharing of insights, of wisdom, of open and sincere reactions to events of the day, of viewpoints, and of opinions.

I love the restorative comfort and encouragement that I have witnessed so many of you offer our community.

We are a community full of caring hearts which are filled with better-world intentions and desires.

We have laughed and we have cried.

We have journeyed through stories of hope, of sadness, of loss, of injustice and of heroism.

    Along the way
We have pushed for wrongs to be righted.
We have rejoiced when victims have been found and returned home.
We have sought for the day when all people will receive equal justice.

I am filled with gratitude and joyful anticipation of our impact as we seek to better the world and continue here on BlackButterfly7 to ponder possibilities, discuss solutions, and stand up for good causes. 🙂

  12. Xena, thank you for teaching me the lessons of the butterfly….that there is strength through the struggle as the caterpillar transforms into the butterfly and learns its potential.

I have learned that when I choose to fly I have the ability to help bring about change in our world.

    Testing wings to discover possibilities

Flying high to bring about positive change

Soaring to great heights to gain new perspectives and solutions

  13. Xena, You will be in the hearts and minds of a lot of people whose lives you have enriched beyond description with your words and bits of wisdom. While you are away from us for this period of time, we will feel a huge void in our daily routine that while others can try, none can fill. While you have not yet left, I am already missing you, but realize that you have needs that have priority over all other tasks… I (we) will simply do what a crusty ole moth does best, wait (but not patiently) for your full return! May the flowers of spring remain in bloom to serve as a homing beacon along your path to recovery…
