I can’t help but wonder why, if he was excommunicated why his children were still not allowed to see him. I will never believe that God loves hateful bigots more than he does others.

I am never happy when someone passes but I am glad this man and his negative hateful ideas no longer hurt the people god loves.

Some years ago my friend Ken said that if you want to know what “sins” preachers struggle with in their own lives, just listen to what they preach against. So on that basis yeah — Phelps may have been in the closet.

It is sad to think that he did not choose to use his time on earth to do things to make a better, more caring world. Just think what an outreach of love and kindness could have accomplished.
