In response to defense attorney Strolla’s press conference yesterday, attorney John Phillips released a video of an interview with one of Dunn’s former neighbors. John Phillips is the attorney who represents Jordan Davis’ parents. That, and Dunn’s letters from jail, are hot topics.

Thank you for sharing that link. It has been signed and shared on FB. Last time I posted the petition, many of my friends signed it, so I’m hoping for the same again. If this attention whore does not get the attention he seeks, one of two things will happen. He will either slink off into the sunset or he will do something that will get him finally put away, hopefully without hurting/killing someone else. Either way, he needs to be stopped.

I’m not so sure it’s such a bad idea to not show the country, and even the world, how little remorse Zimmerman has for what he did. He instigated a situation where a young man lost his life defending himself.

Thank you for sharing the link for the interview petition, once again signed and shared, every step he tries to make to glorify and profit off the murder of Martin must be monitored and stopped. Get a regular job like everyone else, or is he too good for actual work? He needs to pull himself up by his bootstraps, stop relying on handouts, etc etc etc. The article on MotherJones, about 21 things you cannot do while black is a necessary share especially for young blacks, as we have found in our teaching they do not realize that they are not exisiting a post racial society. They have a tendency to think these are isolated issues, and do not have the ability to connect the dots, because they do not and have not been educated about systematic racism. Thank you for the share, and everyone’s continued struggle for a better society. I am afraid that Dunn will walk, the delay in a verdict is not a good sign. Like one of my good friends said today, “whites live under a justice system, and we live under a legal system”

How can we find out if Dunn had a permit for the suppressor/silencer found in his car when he was arrested? And if not, was he charged for not having one.

Don’t know if it’s legal to have silencers in Florida. To the best of my knowledge, Dunn was not charged for having a silencer.

It is legal ONLY if one ‘buys’ the permit through the NFA. It is a felony to be in possession of one without having a permit. There was a silencer in the trunk of his car when he was arrested. $200 is what it costs to get a permit.

My husband said he heard on Nancy Grace that the silencer was fake…I don’t know it that true or not.

Dunn jury has now been out longer than the Zimmerman jury.
Noting that, HLN talking heads are speculating about a hung jury or an acquittal.
One of the ‘legal experts’ suggests the older white men on the jury may be holding out for acquittal because they too hate loud rap music, and host V. Politan suggests the younger jurors may be more inclined to convict because they’re OK with contemporary popular music.

Just think what would have happened had Maddy Juror B29 kept to her decision? We would have had a hung jury in Zimmerman’s case.
When the Dunn jury asked for the Gate video, it gave me the impression that there are a few jurors who, going into deliberations, voted not guilty. That video was to watch for the timing and hear the gunshots to convince them that things did not happen the way Dunn testified and his attorney represented to the jury.
I’m hoping that’s the case and those finding that the evidence is that Dunn is guilty are not bending to those who had or have less interest in evidence and facts.

I’m hoping the jury didn’t ask for the video to try and discredit the witness who said he had walked out the door of the Gate and stated he heard Dunn say “you’re not going to talk to me like that” as I think Strolla made a point of saying the guy never heard that, as it had been like 40 seconds from the time the guy left the counter til the shooting started. Out of the 5 charges, I wonder which one (s) they are deadlocked on?

Strolla got his times confused. When I watched that portion of the video, it was about 40 seconds from the time that the driver left the cash register to when the shots were fired. That other witness was at the register after the driver, and Dunn’s girlfriend after him.
I was just getting ready to watch the video of jury instructions again. That might help us get a very close speculation. Be back shortly.

Yes. Remember the Morgan case reported here? The first jury found him not guilty on assault and not guilty of firing a weapon, but hung on the murder charge. On retrial of the murder charge, the judge did not allow the second jury to know the findings of the first jury, violating double jeopardy.

The jurors’ last question indicates that they have reached decisions to convict, but not on all counts. I’m guessing the last count is one they are haggling over, or maybe even if Dunn committed M1, M2 or voluntary manslaughter.

They said that they have hit a WALL for the evening & could they quit for the night! Of course the judge said OK.He told them it was going to be up to them as to what time they start in the morning.I think they agreed on 9:00 or 9:30.Dear Lord….the trial didn’t last this long!

Since the jury has retired for the night, I guess I’ll have dinner and relax so we can watch for the verdict again tomorrow. One thing for sure is that someone on the jury is not bending. I’d rather have a mistrial than to see Dunn walk free.

There has been a joke on news4jax comment board that the most vile racist poster there, is on the jury, explaining his absence for the last 2 weeks. …. it really makes one wonder.. There are those here who truly believe that no matter what the situation, that White is always Right. It’s sickening. If the victim didn’t ‘have it coming’ it’s still the fault of the other man through the actions of others in their communities.

Xena…..having computer issues and I can’t reply back under the original thread…..but you are right, after the cops released the sketch, he changed his look again and put on a few more pounds. The cops haven’t caught the guy yet and he used different vehicles when he was up to no good.
