O’Mara Not Representing Zimmerman In Divorce

Hat tip to Mindyme62!

News4jax reports that O’Mara “drops George Zimmerman.”

Mark O’Mara and George Zimmerman during murder trial

O’Mara stated: “I am not representing George Zimmerman in his recent domestic altercation case or his impending divorce case,” O’Mara told CNN.

O’Mara made no mention of Zimmerman’s recent traffic ticket, which Zimmerman might pay without raising a challenge as to whether he was speeding.

We await to see what attorney is going to represent George Zimmerman in the divorce case.  Will George ask the public to donate money to pay his divorce attorney?

Recent news also reports that there is a video showing George locking the front door of the house where the altercation took place, and Shellie trying to enter that door.   George’s bodyguard has taken blame for the injury to Mr. Dean’s nose.

Wonder if George fired MOM for his statements yesterday about him having his gun on him during the altercation and put his hand on it to make sure it was holstered. Junior is adamant that there was no gun because LE said they didn’t find one on his person. Obviously George left it in his truck before getting out when LE arrived. Or, maybe MOM is fed up with George’s crap.

Surefire remedy to GZ’s problems – blame the black guy!

    • I was looking for an LLMPapa video but can’t find it. LLMPapa took the photo from GZ’s MySpace page, and a screenshot of GZ’s bodyguard in the courtroom, showing it to be the same person. So, GZ’s current bodyguard is among those who GZ said would take the blame for him and do a year in jail.

The so-called bodyguard is the large black friend who was in the courtroom and who was pictured in the FB page.

        • @Two sides. I have an errand to run but as soon as I get time, I’ll look for the video again. LLMPapa uploaded it during trial or it may have been during voir dire after the other bodyguard was put out of the courtroom.

Xena, don’t confuse the black bodyguard who got put out of the courtroom because of the phone, and the big friend who showed up in court a few times toward the end and was there during the verdict. Lots of people call him a bodyguard – Shellie did during the call, but that’s reportedly the friend. Perhaps Fogen pays him now to be a bodyguard.

          • @Two sides. Right. The friend from GZ’s MySpace page transformed to his “bodyguard” after the apparent licensed bodyguard was put out of the courtroom. I have the photo from GZ’s MySpace page but wish I could find that video.

A spokesman for Mark O’Mara, who succeeded in winning an acquittal for Zimmerman in the racially charged Trayvon Martin murder trial, said O’Mara will not represent Zimmerman in any future litigation including his divorce and any possible charges resulting from the Monday incident involving his wife and father-in-law.

O’Mara will still be Zimmerman’s lawyer in a defamation suit pending against NBC and in the remaining motions stemming from the Trayvon Martin trial, including a motion to reimburse Zimmerman’s attorneys and a motion to censure the prosecution.

O’Mara appeared to struggle with his anger at his client during Monday’s incident in which he went to Zimmerman’s house while police were still there. During a press conference later, O’Mara was asked if he had any advice for Zimmerman, and he answered, “Pay me.”

LOL. I was surprised at the answer, considering all the lies he told to minimize damage to GZ. He might have some rat sense (fleeing the sinking ship) after all.

      • It would be a huge conflict of interest for O’Mara to represent GZ on any family court matter, because he and Shellie had to have had a “working relationship” during the murder trial.

I wouldn’t call that a HUGE conflict of interest. Though I can see where it is a conflict, though OM may not have had all that much contact with Shellie, considering Fogen’s control issues.

          • @Two sides. Good point. O’Mara did take over the defense fund, and the defense fund was used to support Shellie as well as George. O’Mara was also the attorney who called Shellie as a witness at the bond hearing where she misrepresented her knowledge of the money received through Paypal. There’s a laundry list of conflicts of interest preventing him from representing George in the divorce. Plus — O’Mara wants to be paid. 🙂

ROFLOL!!!! If he’s not arrested and put behind bars, Zimmerman could keep O’Mara busy for the next 5 years putting out fires — all for free.

    • @racerrodig. Do you get the impression that George has been bugging O’Mara since the end of trial with frivolous stuff, and O’Mara is now sick of him? I can hear it now;

GZ: Uh, Mark, can I sue people who still say I’m a lying murderer?

O’Mara: George, if they have no money then suing doesn’t make sense. How am I suppose to be paid?

GZ: Can’t you write a book about it or something?

O’Mara: That puts more responsibility on me and what does it serve you?

GZ: I feel threatened by them. Can I sue Trent Sawyer for malicious prosecution?

O’Mara: Trent Sawyer did not prosecute you.

GZ: How am I suppose to live? Will you hold a press conference asking for donations?

O’Mara: No George. The case is over. You’ve been acquitted. Why should people continue giving you money?

GZ: Because I can’t work do to the malicious prosecution by the mass media and balacks.

O’Mara: The State of Florida prosecuted you George, not anyone else.

GZ: Can you sue Florida then?

O’Mara: The State has a right to prosecute George. That’s their job. They are immune from being sued for doing their job.

GZ: What about suing them as individuals, along with my former Landlord?

O’Mara: Your former Landlord? What does your former Landlord have to do with this?

GZ: If she hadn’t demanded that I pay rent, then I would not have called the cops on her and the public wouldn’t know that I wasn’t paying rent.

O’Mara: (click. Hangs up the phone.)

  7. Xena…..I’d bet the farm Fogen is bothering The Moron Man and some calls are just like you scripted. Others are kind of like this………..

And make about as much sense. I’m thinking his NBC lawsuit will be dismissed in it’s entirety as he suffered no damages…..being acquitted, er, getting away with a murder and all. In fact, one of my guys says he’s on real thin ground and will owe their legal fees which they’ll drive to 500K easily. After all, they did use his own words.

Then his “pure as the driven snow” image took several hard hits, and that Kel – Tek tour, well, that didn’t help.

    • @racerrodig. I agree about the lawsuit against NBC. It’s frivolous. O’Mara couldn’t handle it on his own anyway, and got a law firm in PA to prepare it.

I didn’t form the opinion that GZ is a bigoted racist because of the tape edited by NBC. I formed that opinion after hearing GZ refer to Trayvon in the plural, and based on his acceptable reasons for anyone being outside in the rain.

  8. Isn’t it funny how he can represent Zimmerman in his murder case, which is a lot harder than a simple divorce. Maybe the funds are not there and O’Mara is tired of working for free.. lol (speculation)

    • @Brian. O’Mara should take a hint from Don West — go on a long vacation far, far away from the Zimmermans. 🙂
