George Zimmerman In Custody

Hat tip to Mindyme.

Disgusted ZimmermanNews4jax reports that George Zimmerman has been taken into custody.  Shellie called the police saying that George threatened her and her father with a gun, according to Lake Mary police.   The call was made from Shellie’s dad’s house.

We shall update as more news becomes available.

O’Mara said Zimmerman and his wife were living in a residence owned by Shellie Zimmerman’s father. O’Mara said Shellie Zimmerman had moved out and they were in the process of separating their belongings.

Subsequent reports are that George Zimmerman was held in investigative retention at the scene.  Please read comments below for further updates.

This link will take you to the 911 call. Shellie asked also for medical, thinks father’s nose is broken and he was shaking and having chest pains. But basically says that he threatened her and her family (mother, father, her, and brother were in the home), kept taping on a gun and say come closer and that he would shoot them. Hit the father in the nose and tore an IPAD from her hands and smashed it on the ground and attacked it with a pocket knife.

MOM showed up at the scene and there is also an unknown bleach blonde woman with Z. Shellie, her attorney, and her father left the scene about 4:30 pm, leaving the cops, Z and MOM behind.

The home is a rental owned by Shellie’s parents and they were all over there cleaning it before a new family moved in.

Orlando Sentinel is reporting that Shellie and her father have both declined to press charges! WTF? Police said no victim, no crime……..I thought the cops didn’t need a “victim” to press a domestic charge. They are also saying that this was the home that they were hiding out in, which is different than other reports.

    • @towerflower. That’s typical fear of retribution. GZ could easily say that Shellie hit him and have her arrested, which would then violate her probation. He’s the type of person who will use emotional extortion to control others and at the same time, get away with committing crimes.

      Like

      • Xena, that’s what I’m talking about. Many states don’t need a “victim” to file, just because of the fear of retribution. They would investigate and if there is evidence of abuse then someone will go to jail with or without the other party filing charges.

I called police when my ex-boyfriend was abusive there – in another county – and when police arrived and I wanted my boyfriend out, they said as long as he had clothes hanging in the closet, he had the right to be there even though I signed the lease and paid the rent, utilities and bought all the groceries. : /

  26. What would convince Shellie to back down? Money or a threat to expose her criminal behavior and thus invalidate her parole are my suspicions.

    Who is the mystery blonde?

Shellie was in danger of violating her parole when she found herself in a home with a gun present, but we don’t know what the cause of the fight was.

Also it sounds to me like the altercation was physical if the dad feels like his nose was broken. A spouse doesn’t have to press charges for charge to be brought. The state can bring charges against an abuser if they are so motivated.

I guess we can throw out the theory that the divorce was a sham to protect assets in case GZ was sued and lost. Seems to me like these people are really having a real marriage breakup.

Thanks all for the play-by-play, or should I say the blow-by-blow. Shellie has more fodder for a tell-all book. I hope she takes the offer when it comes. It’s her best chance to cash in, to write a book that exposes his lies firsthand.

    Like

    • @willisnewton. IMO, once O’Mara showed up, the extortion scheme began. If Shellie pressed charges against George, he would press charges against her. Being on probation, Shellie cannot chance that. She knows that George is a huge, convincing liar, and that O’Mara knows how to act out those lies in court.

It’s now up to the State’s Attorney whether or not to file charges.

Rather than a tell-all book, Shellie needs to FIRST talk and cooperate with the feds. If not, George is going to be free to threaten, terrorize, and emotionally extort her for the rest of her life.

      Like

  27. It’s coming together now. George and Shellie were living in a house owned by her dad. They had lived there for about 6 months including during trial. After the verdict, George disappeared. There was no reason for him to disappear. They had lived in the same house for months without incident of “threats.” He had money donated to him by the gun store.

Evidently, after his trip in Texas going “nowhere in particular,” George returned, and Shellie needed to get through her own case for perjury. She did, then she had enough. She packed up and went to her dad’s. George then left her with a bit over $4,000 and went back “home.” He wasn’t alone. A friend from VA whose pic is on his MySpace page was with him as a “bodyguard” and a bleached blonde were also in the house.

Shellie files for divorce. Whether before or after that filing, her dad decides that he wants George out of the house so he can sell or rent it.

This afternoon, Shellie and her dad arrive at the house for reasons uncertain, maybe to get more of her things, or to make sure that George didn’t vandalize while moving his things out. Maybe to get the keys, change the locks. Who knows? The video showed a truck with a trailer attached — boxes and items in the bed of the truck and in the open trailer. George’s truck was parked on the street so it wasn’t his truck.

When she and someone else said OMG at the end of the 911 call, they are saying it was because Shellie found out he was with a woman. That didn’t sound that way to me.

But, OMG and someone else, it wasn’t about a woman. That just doesn’t make sense.

o’mara says GEORGE probably won’t be staying there now because the media knows where he is.
Has he been there since the trial ended?
The media would have known that. The media was never after GEORGE, GEORGE was after the media!

I don’t know about sims, he didn’t seem very aggressive in the interview he gave today. but I do know this, shellie may have just thrown away a huge opportunity, not only to have chicken George charged with a serious felony but also ruining any semblance of sympathy or whatever it is she had gained these last few weeks by refusing to press charges and giving the impression that she lied about what happened today. although it’s not too late for her. maybe there was a plan to send the police away today and get with the lawyers, maybe even the feds, and handle it in another way?? hopefully she has the goods on chicken.

My initial impression is that Shellie is playing it safe with her probation and that she’s still an enabler to some degree. I had to get the stuffing knocked out of me a few times before I’d take filing charges seriously. On the other hand, you can see how much fun it is to get involved with the police and the court system. Sometimes it’s not worth it unless there’s a really clear outcome.

        • @Shannon. Shellie knows how invincible George believes he is. Understand that to mean that Shellie knows George has gotten away with committing crimes. He told the cops that Shellie was the aggressor. There’s no proof who started it. (Sound familiar?) If the judge enters an injunction against her, or she is charged, it provokes her probation. She then sits behind bars — with a pending divorce case. That means she cannot be awarded the dogs either.

GZ knows how to emotionally extort and/or outright blackmail. Chances are that he has something on each of his trial witnesses — even the most innocent thing, that he would misrepresent and paint in a bad light if they hadn’t agreed to testify to his benefit. I mean, a former co-worker!!!! Come on! He couldn’t get someone from Kokopelli’s Gym to say the cries for help were “absolutely”, “soft” George Zimmerman?

All that time GZ spent at Kokopelli’s Gym, and the only witness he could get is the guy facing criminal charges himself? (Hint, hint)

Getting back to Shellie, she has seen George’s and O’Mara’s PR scheme against Trayvon. She doesn’t want to be stepped on, lied on, kicked in the head, and then told she deserved whatever George did to her.

George and O’Mara = Trayvon was a “thug” Shellie is “disgruntled” and whatever the cops decide carries more weight than the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Christi O’Connor on Vinnys show just said that Shellie was on to other affairs George had, I said during the trial that something weird happened when their blonde neighbor was on the stand ( the one who’s house was broken into that George talked to a lot) I’m telling you something was going on and George thought the State was going to ask her about it. That was why the defense objected and looked worried until they found out it wasn’t what they thought. That was the only time I saw worry on George’s face before during and after trial. He either had an affair with this woman or came on to her.

George knows how to bury the truth in lies. Shellie knows that he does, and she also knows that he has others take the fall for him. I mean, he sat like a “potted palm” as she spurted out lies to the court about her knowledge of the money. She got charged with perjury. George now uses Shellie’s plea and probation against her.

Well, she watched the George and O’Mara playbook denigrating Trayvon and should have been aware that they will do the same to her. Sybrina and Tracy endured with grace and dignity. Shellie is not strong enough to do the same.

I hope that the videos help the cops to press charges against him. The man is rubbing Shellie’s nose into her being on probation, and taking advantage of her dad’s property.

  35. The MOM interview made me so made. First saying that “touching” is common in divorce disputes is so demeaning to those who faced DV at the hands of ex’s. Then there were the gun justification comments. I have to give it to the reporters who asked some good questions. One minute he is saying that Z has been under tremendous stress the past year and that confrontation with Shellie was emotionally charged. Reporters asked the mentality of carrying a gun when under stressful situations and being emotionally charged. MOM actually defended that! He called him a responsible gun owner who had a 2nd amendment right to carry. Sorry but a responsible gun owner does not carry when they are under stress nor should they carry when emotionally compromised.

He said her claim of the gun threat was mistaken in which he was checking to make sure his gun was holstered, like a responsible owner would do! NO! When you tap your side that the gun is normally carried and another knows this this is also sending a signal to the person. Shellie didn’t know he wasn’t carrying or GZ removed the gun from his person before the cops showed up and put it away in the truck or gave it to his bottle blonde girl, but it if someone who normally carries and starts to tap the side that he carries on and tells a person to “COME CLOSER” then you are also giving them the impression that you will shoot them.

I also can’t believe how the cops keep saying that no one was injured. I saw the photos of her father’s face and sorry there is an injury. It might be a minor one but there is still one there that is clearly visible.

I once had an ex who sat with a gun in his lap and said he’d “erase me.” The local county attorney’s office would not file charges – they said this was not a direct threat (in a SW gun-happy state.) It was however, enough to get a restraining order.

Kinda like GZ’s nose boo-boo that was life-threatening. I guess because his was made by a black guy – oh, wait a minute – didn’t OM blame the physical stuff on GZ’s black friend Ken?

Just like GZ says on his MySpace page. He has friends who take the blame, do a year, and not tell on him. Too bad that Shellie is now included in that category.
