3CHICSPOLITICO

The New York Daily News reports that Shellie Zimmerman has filed for divorce from George Zimmerman.

I think that many of us saw that coming.

His trial is out of the way.  The DOJ is investigating to determine whether they can bring charges against George Zimmerman for violating Trayvon Martin’s civil rights.  Shellie’s perjury case has been resolved with her serving a year’s probation, performing 100 hours of community service, and paying a fine.

We shall keep you up-to-date as more is learned.

  1. i am praying to all i consider holy that she files a restraining order as well. i’m sure her lawyer will recommend it AND it would revoke gz’s firearms privilege as long as it is in effect. if she were smart, she would keep that active.

  2. I’m surprised to learn that they are in so much debt. They paid the balances on their credit cards when George was in jail. George was getting a monthly allowance from the defense fund, and yet their credit card debt is up.

Based on her petition for dissolution of marriage, sounds as if there are co-signors on some of the debts. Been saying — GZ is toxic.

    • Shellie prolly thought the $$ would just keep flowing like Niagra Falls.

What I’m wondering is what it will take and how long will it take for Shellie to REVEAL what she knows about Georgie murdering Trayvon. Because I know damn well she knows the TRUTH.

      • @Ametia. Know what? After she stopped working, I don’t think that Shellie ever had any money of her own to spend as she like. When she lied in court about her knowledge of the donations received through Paypal, she had over $80K in her own account and safe deposit box. She may have lied thinking that she could use that as her own escape money. However, that was transferred back to GZ’s account the day he was released from jail on bond.

Yeah — the donations were coming in when he was in jail, but afterwards they slowed down to a trickle. He went on Hannity’s program and then opened another Facebook page to beg for more. According to Papa Zim, GZ received a monthly allowance from the defense fund. Chances are that GZ didn’t give Shellie a dime. By the sound of her divorce petition, she doesn’t know how much is in that defense fund now, either. Shellie was in the proverbial bare foot and pregnant position.

@ Faux Mccoy, excellent point. I wonder if she has guts to do that. When you’re married to an abuser, they usually don’t get much nicer when you’re trying to leave them.

          • @mindyme62. When George called NEN to report a “suspicious” guy, we heard the REAL George Zimmerman. In the interview with Barbara Walters, Mama Zim said that she taught her children how to be “composed.” Nothing wrong with teaching children good manners, but that doesn’t mean that having good manners is a cover-up for unethical characteristics.

John Wayne Gacy had good manners. With composure, he accused his victims of being delinquents and male prostitutes to minimize their being human beings and deserving of death. Please watch the following and see if what Gacy says is not the same that we have heard from Zimmerman as expressed by his supporters.

          • @Shannon. LOL! Can we say “fakes”?

Okay seriously, when I first saw Shellie when she appeared in court on the motion to dismiss her case, I saw a very nervous woman trying to keep her head up. It was false pride, but she doesn’t know any better; probably never thought that her life would put her in front of cameras.

When she came to court during jury selection, I saw an angry, worried, hurt woman. George all but ignored her.

In spite of that, I keep in mind what a former sheriff told me once; “Not all liars are thieves, but all thieves are liars.”

Shellie knew what side her bread was buttered on. The fact that she’s young and there are no children born to the marriage speaks volumes about her co-dependency on George, as well as her lack of self-decency. George was not ever going to give her a life on a bed of roses.

It appears she was realizing George’s lack of potential even before the shooting.

            Like

          • @Two sides. You could be absolutely correct.

There is no way of listening to the jailhouse phone calls and not see that George made Shellie feel incapable of thinking for herself. At the same time, she caught on too quickly to his use of codes. George didn’t have to tell her to lie at the bond hearing — she knew that she was suppose to. That speaks volumes.

He engineered the Peter Pan fiasco and then hung her out to dry. He knows it. She knows it. I bet 50% of her decision is probably based on post-shooting experiences and 50% on previous experiences with him.

          • @Two side.

He engineered the Peter Pan fiasco and then hung her out to dry.

Sure did. If not but for the fact that he was arrested, George would not have allowed her access to his Paypal account. Then too, the money didn’t start flowing in until after his arrest, so donations might have never reached enough to financially support him had he not been arrested.

I bet 50% of her decision is probably based on post-shooting experiences and 50% on previous experiences with him.

Probably so. There is no way that Shellie could sit hearing George, O’Mara and West systematically discuss denigrating Trayvon, without thinking that George will do the same to her if it means getting what he wants. The Zimmermans are emotional blackmail, mud slingers.

Didn’t look too good between Shellie and the family on camera during the trial, but that doesn’t mean it was always like that. Personally, I always got along with siblings and step-kids, but sometimes parents-in-law were not very nice. I was never good enough for my first mother-in-law.

      • @Lolypop. Funny how CNN perceives its viewers.

IMO, O’Mara is not a winner. I lost all respect for him when he vilified Trayvon Martin, who is deceased and unable to defend himself. I lost respect for Don West when he took the Zidiot bait and attempted to humiliate Benjamin Crump, who is also an officer of the court. Both O’Mara and West were disrespectful towards Judge Nelson.

My opinion of O’Mara and West went downhill from there. I don’t think there is anything they can ever do to regain it, and I know that I’m not alone.

It was not O’Mara and his team that got Zimmerman found not guilty but rather, stealth Juror B37 who, according to her former literary agent, had already decided that Zimmerman was not guilty due to the manner in which he was arrested. Nothing regarding the manner in which Zimmerman was arrested was brought up at trial and in fact, Judge Nelson had already granted the State’s motion in liminie preventing that.

I’m not a fan of CNN anyway. The heck with legal analyst on high profile cases — I’ll watch the trials instead. If O’Mara can’t figure out how to submit and FOIA to the federal government, he does not qualify to do anything more than what we have already seen, which is showboat in long, run-on sentences.

I SO agree with you Xena and do you notice that those lawyer, turned commentator arelready stupid. They just dumb down their carreer as far as I’m concerned. Of course O’mara and West have already done that to their’s so they might as well take the job. They know they aren’t really that good. They took it because they were promised to win and the acting. The more I think about it, the more I realize that CNN seldom reports on “high profile cases” in the sense of actually presenting them. They might talk about them — but that’s not “news.”

            It seemed to work.
Most of the TV audiences picked up on what the liars just told them because they heard it over and over again.
We get about 5 different shows all telling the same lies after the trial is over. If that isn’t enough there are repeats.

Shellie knows that George has gotten in trouble and was able to lie his way through. The Landlord, the guy who served at his (non) graduation party, and the attorney he screwed out of costs and fees in the Aames case.

I wish that the DOJ would locate and interview the server. He might be significant, because George apparently owed him money that he refused to pay, and that situation was probably not resolved by George calling the cops on him and turning it into a matter to bring to the “civil” court.

GZ told the cops that the house was in foreclosure and he didn’t have to pay rent. There is no record of that property being in foreclosure, and on Feb. 26, 2012, GZ was still residing in the same residence.

Check out pages 3 and 4 for two payments of $950 to D Wendy Cummins. Denise Wendy Cummins is the owner of 1950 Retreat View Circle, where George and Shellie were renting. Hope this link works.

Since GZ abandoned that residence on Feb. 27, 2012, the two payments could reflect rent for the months of January and February 2012.

PS, all – important to read the text that accompanies the video on YouTube:

“Shellie’s not just a witness. She’s been victimized by George’s dark side, many times. While in hiding as the trial crawled near, George did not go to a doctor. He’d been on an anti depressant for good reason. Shellie is neat around the house. George, was not. One day, he decided he was sick of her laundry room drawer being kept organized compared to his. He flew into a rage. He ripped the drawer from its hinges as he also threw Shellie’s purse to the ground, ensuring all her personal items scattered. But at least…she wasn’t hungry.

On another of George’s bad days, she recalls returning from the grocery store eager to cook a good meal. But, she says, George was in one of his ‘Baker Act’ states of mind. He took one look at the groceries and began screaming shrapnel, ordering her to immediately return every item to the store. Humiliated and heart broken, Shellie did as demanded. As Floridians know, ‘The Baker Act’ is the state statute that allows one to ‘involuntary commit’ to an institution someone who appears to have a mental illness or is considered a safety threat to himself or others. ‘I almost Baker-Acted him,’ Shellie told me, dysphorically shrugging her shoulders.

There are many memories Shellie considers more painful. But, listen now for a deeper understanding of what she shares here. . . “
