The 40 Ft. Stumble

Have we forgotten?  With motion hearings, arguments about discovery, beg feasts, and Mark O’Mara finally admitting there will be no pre-trial immunity hearing, it is easy to lose focus on who is on trial, and why.

Have we forgotten that George Zimmerman stated that Trayvon Martin approached him at the “T” and knocked him down with one punch?  After telling his story to law enforcement the evening he killed unarmed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, Zimmerman was told that he would be required to come to the crime scene the next day and show law enforcement what happened.

At the crime scene, Zimmerman realized that his one-punch at the “T” knocked him down backwards story was not consistent with the head bashing, wiggling to the grass story.   Zimmerman killed Trayvon Martin about 40 feet south of the “T”.  At his re-enactment, Zimmerman had to wing-it, and in doing so, contradicted what he told law enforcement less than 24 hours earlier.

The following video recaps Zimmerman’s first statement to police about being knocked down backwards with one punch from Trayvon Martin.  It also provides excerpts from Zimmerman’s first bond hearing, including Detective Gilbreath’s statement that Zimmerman’s story about wiggling from the concrete to the grass is not consistent with the evidence that the State found.

Killer and accused murderer George Zimmerman’s trial is scheduled to begin on June 10, 2013 with jury selection.

      • Great work Xena. Oh, don’t forget, gz didn’t have to talk to anyone, which is why Serino and Singleton had to handle him with “kid gloves”. People keep getting the idea that the police could have put pressure of some kind on gz and force him to talk. That would not work because he had a right to remain silent and have a lawyer present. At any time if he requested it, the interview would have been ended. That’s an important point, and why Prof. has so much praise for Serino and Singleton. Some fault them for not pressing harder on his contradictions, but that might only have caused him to clam up and ask for an attorney.

        • @Lonnie Starr. HLN is showing the “Zimmerman tapes” right now. They are showing the re-enactment. I can see SIngleton watching GZ and by the look on her face, she is not buying his BS. Remember, she asked him the next day where he was when told “We don’t need you to do that.” He said that he was on RVC. GZ said during the re-enactment that the dispatcher said that when he was “back there …”

No wonder Serino filed the Capias, because GZ’s re-enactment and his NEN call are inconsistent. As well, Serino was right that GZ’s boo-boo’s do not line up with what he said.

I suspect that the shell casing provides evidence of the direction Zimmerman was facing when firing his gun.

          • @racerrodig. Well, looks like your friend can do something else, because the Honorable Judge Nelson denied the defense’s motion to take the jury to the crime scene. How on earth did O’Mara think the jury would get a good idea of what happened by sitting in a van at the “T”???

That is what GZ thought he was going to do in his re-enactment; i.e., sit in the car and tell what happened, rather than showing what he did. Still, he didn’t show — if he was on the ground, he should have gotten on it to show his movements and how he reached behind his ass to unholster his gun with Trayvon straddle him.

I don’t comment a lot but you guys are amazing! I pray that this trial will begin on June 10 and justice is served with gz going to prison. The defense is deflecting big time and I hope their strategy doesn’t work by poisoning the jury pool.

There are laws in society for a reason. gz made a choice to not abide by them and as a result we had an innocent young man life taken away from him and a mother lost her child.

Just to let you know, once I see that a comment awaiting moderation has one of the IP addresses you use, I don’t read it beyond seeing what handle and email address you use. That’s because you use the handles and email addresses of other GZ supporters.

Using an IP address change program does not keep you hidden. You’ve been reported for harassment and extortion previously and dealt with by your ISPs, which is why you now use an IP address changing program. Your harassment and extortion shall be reported again.

It’s not cool that you send comments here under the handles of GZ supporters. You’ve sent comments using Nettles’ name and email address, Diwataman, and others. You’ve used the handles of Jordan2222, hwoon1st and others. Why do you wish to give the impression that those you agree with are committing the harassment? Or, maybe you don’t agree with them but simply associate with them to get their email addresses so you can use them in violating law. Does MT realize that you give him credit in your comments as being the organizer and initiator of doxing in violation of federal law?

Funny; although your comments are aimed to harass and extort, they are also aimed to get your “friends” incorporated in your violation of law.

Your IP address always leads back to you. All of the IP addresses assigned to the program you use to change them will now be blacklisted by this blog. Just like before you started using the IP changing address program, once those IP addresses are blacklisted by this blog, your comments will go into the black hole, never again going into moderation first. In other words, it’s as though you never submit a comment and do not exist.

      • @Cielo. Please, allow me to share a little history. Back around June 2012 was when I first searched for blogs that supported justice for Trayvon. I found TheJBMission and began posting comments there. I will always consider that my blog home. JB and the others were welcoming. We talked personal things. I shared with them, for instance, that my husband died in 2009.

I did not start Blackbutterfly7 until around August 2012. As soon as I announced it on TheJBMission, Jessica sent comments disparaging JB. She warned me that if I didn’t stop participating on TheJBMission, that she would ruin my reputation. She confused the name of this blog as my handle, threatened to defame me, mocked the death of my husband, and said that MT had my real name and she started posting what she mistakenly believes it to be.

Then she stalked me over on Leatherman’s and sent threatening comments that if I didn’t stop participating there, that she would ruin me and Leatherman. If she believes that posting disparaging things about us is ruining us, she is badly mistaken. What she does has just the opposite effect.

Her further threats included that if I didn’t start supporting GZ, that she was going to spread lies about me to all Trayvon supporters with threats that if they continued to support this blog, that she would do the same to them. She sent links to places where she disparaged Trayvon supporters, some whose handles I am unfamiliar with. I blocked her IP addresses.

After reporting her to both of her ISPs, she now claims that I doxed her. Evidently, she fails to understand that IP addresses are the fingerprints of the internet. ISPs not only know who is assigned the IP address, but they have assess to all activity to verify whatever is submitted to them. Jessica has gone beyond harassment and her actions have been reported to and verified by law enforcement, including federal, the Attorney Generals where she lives and where she attends college.

Now, she apparently believes that using a proxy server and an IP address program to change her IP address will prevent her from being blocked and hide her, and she thinks nothing of impersonating GZ supporters to commit harassment, extortion, and issue threats. I have no fight with Nettles and Diwataman. They do their thing and I do mine. I’ve never submitted a comment to any of their blogs, and will not do so. I may not like some of their opinions and the way they express them, but they have a First Amendment right to do so, and I exercise the same right and will defend it.

Jessica, otoh, has no First Amendment right to threaten, harass, and attempt extortion. She has learned the difference, which is why she is now without an ISP and impersonates Nettles and Diwataman in her illegal activities.

It’s her life and her decision if she wants to continue violating law.

    • Hi Marilyn C.: Now that Xena has pointed out that when DD’s call disconnects at 7:16:– (no seconds because T-Mobile rounds to the nearest minute) the first 911 callers phone picks up from there. So there’s only a gap of about 11 seconds from the time the encounter starts, until we start getting info again. So from about 7:16:00 onward until the gunshot 45 seconds later, we know where gz was, right near the callers house.

The problem is, another witness claims to have heard an argument “bending the corner”, coming around from TTL towards the T. From the description Trent Sawyer’s video gives, it sounds contemporaneous with gz engaged with Trayvon. If so, then who are these people and what are they doing out there? There’s also a blood stain found on the garage frame of 2861 RVC. Which makes it seem like gz was knocking on his door, and not on the flashlight that Serino found to be in perfect working order.

      Like

  13. Grrreat work Xena. You’re already our shining star. Next up is this blood found on 2861 Retreat View Circles garage frame here I’ve got the photo and a photoshop enhancement there and a little bit more.

You should probably be aware of this:

“Look at the daytime photos in the discovery taken the day after the shooting, by Crime Scene Tech Diana Smith. She chose what to photograph, most likely based on what she understood to be the key locations that would either corroborate or refute GZ’s version, as related to the officers who interviewed him the night before and the witness statements obtained the night before.” Which comes from the FLOPPING ACES BLOG
They’re pro gz over there, but they’re not doing the nasty, they seem to be unable or unwilling to grasp the rules and laws that control the situation, thus it allows them to dismiss gz criminal activities that provoked the attack that gz lies about having happened.

Anyone who cares to pop over an try to give them a clue, is of course, welcomed to do so, we’d be pleased to have a report back on the results obtained. Who knows, they seem reasonable enough people that some might even be won over.

    • @Lonnie. It always concerned me that Jon would hear a gunshot and come out of his house. Most of the other witnesses were trying to hide in their house in a safe place, but Jon grabs a flashlight and goes through his garage — a garage with a stain that looks like blood. Hmmm.

As you know, my position has always been that GZ placed blood on his head to make the wounds appear fresh. The EMT’s found that the blood on his head was dry. That drying was too fast to have come out of the head boo-boos just moments before the EMTs cleaned them.

      Like

      • Hmmm… Now I wonder, since it appears he was at Jon’s front door before the NEN call ended, That sound like a gun being racked could also be Jon opening either front door or the garage door. Maybe someone should enhance the NEN call and post it, so we can listen more carefully to other parts and not just the “oons” part.

    • Of interest is that Serino looks south on RVC at timestamp 1:53 even though gz has been saying he looked across the street (east side of RVC) for an address in reenactment.

      .
      .

Also, timestamp 6:52 to gz refers to Jon with flashlight and says he still had his handgun out + when the police came, gz says he stood up and holstered his gun and was handcuffed.

Yet, we know that Jon took a photo of gz seconds before Officer Smith came and, in that photo gz is holding his cellphone to his right ear. (=no gun out to be holstered)

      ???

      Like

      • Also note that he doesn’t mention that he left his vehicle on the dead run, so he gets to RVC quite a bit earlier than what he’s trying to tell us. Plenty of time for him to go around to leave that blood stain on Jon’s garage door frame, eh? Then Jon comes out through the front of his garage and around to find gz standing there with his gun in one hand and probably the phone in the other hand, while he’s taking the picture? Then ofc Smith arrives and only then does he holster his gun, which he’s had in his hand for some 3 full minutes after the shot.

A shot, which we know was fired 40 feet south of where he’s claiming it happened. Jon says that when he rounded the corner near the dog path, gz was only 6 to 8 feet from the T. Obviously he’d walked there from where he shot Trayvon, so he’s leaving out a whole lot of activities that took place during those 3 minutes.

    • @Cercando Luce. One of our first posts was about trace evidence providing evidence that GZ used a take down move on Trayvon. GZ was a bouncer and there is one scream by Trayvon that conveys pain. Now that there are facts that GZ trained in MMA and kickboxing, that lends more support that he knew exactly how to restrain Trayvon while he aimed and shot the kid in the heart. GZ deliberately, and maliciously, took Trayvon’s life.

I remember that– good sleuthing. The defense (not surprisingly) has completely de-emphasized the bouncer job, and it’s amazing how successful GZ and O’Mara have been at portraying GZ as some mild schlub who wouldn’t even know how to lift 10 lbs. I hope a gym trainer will bear true witness to what this man was capable of.
